What should be done about illegal immigration?

If we we extend our border into Mexico that would make me a Northerner. Jesus Christ haven't I suffered enough?

I have been thinking on this and couldn't figure out why both parties are interested in some sort of amnesty or why this illegal crossing hasn't been stopped. I understand cheap labor and it's trickle up theory, corporate interests and payoffs to politicians, etc.

What I couldn't get my head around was the claim that both parties are courting the illegal immigrant as if this would affect the election. How? Illegals can't vote!

Then I found some articles about illegal immigrants being counted in the census and how that changed FOUR Congressional seats. So, the illegals get counted as part of the population that needs representation but they do not get to vote for who that representative will be. Therefore, the states with larger numbers of illegal immigrants have more seats and more power in Congress but actually may have fewer people voting to put them there. This totally skews Congressional power, especially when a majority of the illegals live in the South.

Well illegals pay taxes.

They're not courting illegal immigrants, they're courting their employers. The farm lobby is aggressive, well-organized, and capable of swinging elections in a good number of farm states. Few politicians, Republican or Democratic, dare mess with them.

Both parties also know they will need large numbers of younger citizens to keep Social Security afloat. Ponzi schemes need a new influx of people to keep them going.

Squin; what makes you think Illegal Aliens can't vote? In Wisconsin you can show up at the polling booth with virtually any ID (no prior registration), and you'll be allowed to vote. If you don't have ID (the vast Majority of IA's do), someone who does have ID can vouch for you. I'm not kidding. The State Democrats block every bill to increase the accuracy by requiring State Issued ID with nonsensical reasons like "an impoverished person may be too embarrassed to vote if he doesn't have a DL". It is widely whispered that the Illegal/Felon vote swings most close elections in the State.

And, how many investigations have shown this to be true?

My guess would be zero. But whispers that illegal aliens are swinging the vote have long been a tactic of disenfranchisers.

How do you get the Fox to investigate the Hen House? Each cycle they bust a handful of folks for voter fraud, while proclaiming loudly that they're cleaning it up, shortly before sweeping it under the rug. There can be no doubt that lax rules on identification increase the quantity of voter fraud. There can be little doubt that Democrats are the beneficiary of same. State issued ID is a reasonable protection against Voter Fraud and suggesting it is tantamount to disenfranchisement is preposterous (though that remains their standard BS).

I'm thinking tatoos along with id chips embedded in the back of the skull. With the id chip you could incorporate such info as SSN, bank account, political affiliation, mother's maiden name and credit card number.
Things would definitely be better if I was dictator.
