What a great feature. I love it you can see who is here, send a hey to old friends from Abuzz.com. It makes things so warm and friendly. Just love the site.

But, in a larger sense, where is 'here?' In a larger sense yet, are we all here because we are not all there?
Kind of nice knowing whether any one is in the chat room too, isn't it?
There, there, Phoenix. You're hearing things again. There's nobody 'here.' Or 'there.'
Tee hee hee should I move this discussion to "Philosophy"?
- are we really here?
- what is our existence?
- can we truly be found?
I was here. Or at least I thought I was. Did anyone else see me?
Yes, Beth - I saw you.
But I do not know whether you were here, or whether you remained in your normal there and simply left traces here.
Are we, in fact, where our bodies are or where our minds are?
I thinks it's pretty cool you can just give a PM if you like!
to give a PM
that sounds a bit ominous
That would be a gals point of view :-)
unless it's a power massage, of course.
in which case, bring on the PM's
Did you just say to bring on the PMS?
Ah, the wonders of being an old fart. NO MORE PMS. Whoopee!
I am one of the hidden members I hide because:
My computer runs spider programs (e.g. I use a program to check this site for downtime) while I sleep, in addition to other browser based programs (like my custom p2p program).
They do jobs online for me while I sleep etc.
If one of the functions require it to open new pages it will start on my home page (which is this site) and it will make it look like I am online when I am sleeping (from 6AM to noon he he).
And sometimes whe I AM on this site, I am doing some work on it and am not on the forums. I don't want people to think I am ignoring their PMs etc so I'm hidden.
edit: explained about the spider program so that others won't think it's an email harvester
. . . and the others are just spying on the rest of us.
