How would I get my own banner or Xmas greeting into the signature line?
Up near the top of the screen click on "Profile" and one of the options there is to enter a signature line. It should be the last box in the "Profile Information" section just below the "Member Description" box..
Hi, fishin'--
When I did that, I got Craven's over-the-waves graphic, and the graphic I tried to enter was in text below it, instead of showing as a graphic--
???????
The little "over-the-waves graphic" is a default. I don't think you can change that.
I haven't played with sigs much but you may be limited to just adding text there. I'll have to check it out as time permits...
JerryR and Craven have links in their signatures. Must mull.
You can put links in your sig line. Just type out whatever you want in a post reply screen (such as for this topic) and copy/paste it into where you can put your sig (don't hit submit here - this topic [or any other topic] is just for you to make the formatting easier). Does that make sense?
One thing, large images in signatures slows down the forum and will be deleted. If you use an image in your sig please keep it under 6k and keep the dimentions down as well.
