@Izzie,
Very Happy

Wonderful photographs, Izzie. Great sequence. Just loved them!

That not-so-little youngster (with the Hitler moustache! Wink ) is going to rule your roost, mark my words! Probably does already! My goodness, the nerve! Laughing

Aw, poor doggie! Assertiveness training. Quickly! Before young Murphy gets any bigger! Actually, for both the dogs! :

Oh I love this shot! Being a complete sucker for black cats. Awwww ... Beautiful!:

http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk41/LzzieIzzie/P1100826.jpg

Lots of fun & games going on at your place, I'll bet. I'll bet your younger son is really thrilled with the new family members.

@urs53,
Yep, urs.

I mean, what dog could argue with Murphy, here & possibly win? Look at those eyes. A classic "boss cat" or what? Wink

@msolga,
hey hey

oh yep... Murphy is getting more and more confident - he's climbing all over me right now - ha - think he's is going to have a aaaaaaaaack - spit - furball thangie going on with all his fluff - but he's sooooooooo soft.

as for KC - he's the playful one but only on his terms right now. He's getting a little better with the dawgs but still having hissy fits if they get too close or bound around the house. He's going to be the hunter gatherer - have a feeling when they go out he'll be bringing in lotsa prizes.

Going to keep them in for at least a month (ugh... kitty litter) but eventually they will be outdoor/indoor kitties.

Just so good to have cats back in the house and S-boy is sooooooooo happy. I got Maddie (Jack Russel) from a rescue home nearly 2 years ago - but.... tho the purpose was for her to be S-boys bubba - Maddie is very submissive and doesn't play and run around with him as he would like her to. She's better with adults and is the sweetest, sweetest little dawg you can imagine - so lovely. Have been incredibly fortunate when we got her. And Scooby is just a big 'ole hound dawg who tolerates absolutely anything (he is R-boy's dawg) - he's got chronic arthritis (wouldn't you know it) - but again, he was a rescue dawg we got 10 years ago and.... and other than he only has one tooth, dogbreath and dribbles everywhere - we have been so fortnuate with the menagerie of lizards, gecks, snakes, chamaeleons and what have you.

<nothing like a wee kitty tho to go goosome over> Razz

not sure if this link will work as HH did (waves to HH) but will give it a go! Very Happy

I'm really pleased about that, Izzie. That's why you adopted these two, isn't it? Mission a success! Yay!

Yes, it's great having felines around the house. (Though, sadly, these days I have only one. Sad )
In my humble opinion a house is not a proper home without them!

I'll check out your link in a wee bit. Than.

I am in shock! I cannot believe what Nisse just did. He was standing on top of the refrigerator. I saw from the corner of my eye that he was shaking his tail strangely, looked up and he peed at the wall!!!!! Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked

@urs53,
Take a cat that should be plump: and cut its throat, and once it is dead cut off its head, and throw it away for this is not to be eaten; for it is said that he who eats the brains will lose his own sense and judgement. Then skin it very cleanly, and open it and clean it well; and then wrap it in a clean linen cloth and bury it in the earth where it should remain for a day and a night; then take it out and put it on a spit; and roast it over the fire, and when beginning to roast, baste it with good garlic and oil, and when you are finished basting it, beat it well with a green branch; and this should be done until it is well roasted, basting and beating; and when it is roasted carve it as if it were rabbit or kid and put it on a large plate; and take the garlic with oil mixed with good broth so that it is coarse, and pour it over the cat and you can eat it for it is a good dish.

(this is an actual recipe from 16th century Europe)

@urs53,
Spraying.

Was he disturbed or excited, or threatened in some way?

Clean it with white vinegar and maybe bicarb after.

Clean and clean and clean, because if the little bugger can smell it, he'll do it again!!!

@dlowan,
Yup, that's what I thought, Deb. There was nothing out of the ordinary. He was sitting there, all on his own, like he always does. He is eight years old and fixed. I am just glad I was there and could clean it right away...

Shocked

I am in shock, too, urs! Goodness me!

I think he's trying to tell you something!
No seriously. Don't laugh! The last time a cat of mine did the peeing inside thing (completely out of character!) it was because he was very distressed. I found out soon after, why. I won't go into the awful details now, but what I discovered, soon after, made me very distressed, too! Sad
