Mysan goes crazy when I do something with my mobile phone, writing messages for example or looking at pictures. She even bites my hand and arm and tries very hard to shove the phone away. I wonder what she senses... Nisse, of course, couldn't care less...

urs, Interesting that Mysan doesn't like the cell phone. Cats have strong senses. I'm wondering whether she's picking up something.

Mikey doesn't like when I talk on the phone. He thinks I should be paying attention to him. No violence though. Just head nudges. He hates when I read. A book is an inanimate object. Why is that human staring at that inanimate, uninteresting object when she could be paying attention to ME?

Felines. Can't live with 'em. Can't live with 'em.

Goodness! What gentle cats I have had!

No injuries...at least since Miranda lost those wee kitten teeth...

Meanwhile....Miranda IS chirping up.

She played in the entrance to the new tunnel last night.....she is stretching out to cuddle...I know, that sounds weird, but before she was all tucked up and tight.

Deb, Glad she likes the tunnel. And stretching out is better than curled up and tight.

Roberta, yes, I also think that Mysan senses something strange there. Nisse is the same as Mikey when I am on the normal phone. He tries pushing the phone away from my ear. Books - same thing! :-)

Francis, I can't see your picture Sad

Found this in the Chicago Tribunes' Images in the News series today -

Cat show
Krystalle, a 5-year-old Bilute Calico Persian from Atlanta, poses with owner Jean Dugger during a preview of the 2006 CFA-Iams Cat Championship at New York's Madison Square Garden, on Wednesday. More than 300 felines will compete at the show this weekend to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Cat Fanciers' Association.

I've never personally met a Sphynx cat. They're pretty startling - but I suppose they're just as loveable as their furier fellow cats.

Right Vivien, Paddy is a little on the heavy side, but he insists he's the correct weight for his height!

Now, where did I hear that before?

Misti, I think you heard it from Mikey. Mikey is heavier than he should be, but I have to say that he's just this side of fat.

However, I was watching a tv show earlier this evening--about cats in Africa. Mikey is about the weight of a Cerval. In this hemisphere, he's about the weight of a lynx. A big guy.

I grunt when I have to pick him up, which is not something I do readily or all that often. Not only is he heavy, but he doesn't like being picked up. In a word, ouch. Actually, that's far more polite than the word I usually use when he bites me, but you get the idea.

Roberta, Mikey and Paddy must be related! Paddy hates to be picked up, and when he hates something, he bites ... so I often neglect picking him up, even in his most loving moments, which is when he bites!

The guy is a menace, I tell you! He hates people, when someone comes to visit, he hides all night! Like he's scared? Nada!

Paddy is about 20 lbs, he is heavy, he uses food for attention (like he's lacking) and he lays around all day.

So ... in conclusion, I'm coming back as a cat!

Misti, Yes, Paddy and Mikey must be litter mates. Mikey isn't keen on visitors either.

I have a friend who maintains that she wants to come back not as a cat but as my cat.
