Miss Molly monitors iris planting from start
to finish.
here, the last of tweny-two rhizomes
have been put in. Need I say this required serious
work. She faithfully stood by for about three hours.

Cats do love hard work - they can watch it for hours.

All animals seem to love watching us work.

It's really funny...if you're mending a fence or doing something way out bush and stay for a bit, every sheep or cow or steer or whatever is out there is crowding round watching you in no time flat.

But Molly knows she'll be rewarded with cream in her dish during coffee break.

I bet she'd be there anyway. All animals love to know what's going on.

I just thought of my horse when I would be cleaning his paddock.

He'd follow closely as I piled manure into heaps and shoveled it into sacks.

His joys were to

Sneak up behind me and steal my hat and run off with it and not let me catch him

If I had no hat he'd sneak up and pull my hair.

When I left a pile of manure and went to get the sack, he'd leap onto the manure and scrabble wildly to scatter it, then piss on the remnants...then run off so he couldn't get yelled at. I swear he was smirking.

Aw. She's such a good, loyal, hardworking cat, neko!

I had one cat in my cat shelter that would not get along with any other cat. She would throw a fit, hiss, bear her fangs and claws like a wild animal. I think some cats are like that and some aren't. I'm not sure why she was.
