The Miranda news is hitting close to home! It's been a little hard for me to read and I apologize for not commenting anything useful. But, know that I'm listening....

@dlowan,
Dante wears a thirteenth century furry coat and has a languid look of discernment. Not that I can get too near him, although truthfully, he hasn't sent me into asthma lately, like my own cats did, and he did in years past. Must be something about allergen exposure over time. He seems to have poetic competence.

(I love cats, dammit. Neighbor's cat gave me a visit last week. Managed to pet him or her without medical response.)

@littlek,
Oh...I am sorry it is upsetting for you.....likely it's better if I keep it to her thread.

Just listening is very useful.

@dlowan,
I doubt it's upsetting because you're discussing it here, or on your other thread, Deb.
It sounds a bit close to home. Sad
Absolutely no problem with further discussion on this thread (of course), but in case k hasn't found your main "Miranda thread", it can be found here:

Deb, by no means should you abandon writing about Miranda anywhere! It's just making me remember Screech's last weeks. I haven't thought about them for a while. It's not necessarily a bad thing for me at all.

@littlek,
I was just thinking it might be nice if you could come here knowing you'd not be reminded of Screech.

Ms. Olga, meet Miss Hilda.
here we are, at the Humane Society just before she boards her
coach for the ride home

Mrs. Nomad saw her picture in the paper yesterday; today Miss Molly
will orient her as per house rules.

@dlowan,
Yes. and goodwill prevails here at 13 Wistful Vista. Miss Molly enjoys being #1,
and Miss Hilda is happily having breakfast at the moment.

@neko nomad,
Oh wow, neko! A new family member!
This is exciting!
(I was wondering how long it would take. Wink )

Hello & welcome, Miss Hilda. Smile

Good on you both! And Miss Molly, too, of course.
She has a rather familiar "nomad" look about her, doesn't she? Smile
So how is Miss Molly adjusting to her?
Please keep us posted, neko.

@neko nomad,
Speaking of "the nomad look" ...
Check out these 2 photographs.
They could be not-so-distant relatives.

@msolga,
Loud and clear, Ms. O. The tabby/white, to us, is the household cat.

Now:

Miss Hilda is very much at home,now, after having a good night's sleep.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v188/nekonomad/nekonomad0450A.jpg

She fits into the household as Miss Mollie's kid sister. It was clearly emphasized
during Mollie's acquaintance orientation that Miss Mollie isn't here to get
along with her.

In the meantime, Miss Mollie has work to do, like doing a security check out
back for trespassers.

She certainly looks 100% at home!
Well done!
Pretty little thing, isn't she? Smile

They will make friends in good time then.
Lovely to see Miss Mollie enjoying her spring garden. (I suspect she enjoys it much more than when it's covered in snow in winter! Wink )

And an excellent choice for your household signature cat, neko! Smile

I seem to be having a run of tuxedo cats here. When Flatcat, my last tuxedo died, I went to the cat shelter specifically looking for a one year old grey tabby. But can you believe this? They said they were all out of grey tabbies! Impossible, I would have thought! (There must have been a run on grey tabbies that week! Wink ) Anyway, to cut a long story short, I came home with Poppy, a 3 year old tuxedo cat at the time. It must have been meant to be. Who am I to question fate?

@msolga,
Same here, it seems: like, the shelter was swamped with prospective petowners. With the difference being they were looking for dogs. About four or five were ahead of us as Ann and I awaited our turn to acquire Hilda.

Btw, my signature avatar is the Warner Bros. Studio's Sylvester, an original hand drawn copy of which was furnished by the studio to my unit in Japan as its Neko Nomads logo. The unit, and the airbase, are history now.
