Welcome to Pet Companion located at the Oregon Humane Society!
Aprioricontrol.com and the Oregon Human Society have teamed to allow people anywhere in the world to interact with animals at the Humane Society through the Internet. The "iPet Companion" allows Oregon Humane Society users to interact with pets, via robotic control, from anywhere in the world through their computer. This online application is part of the ORHS website and is open to the public free of charge. This is just the next evolution of connecting people, and animals, through the web… and the pets have some fun too!
To take control of our robotics there are two software requirements. No need to worry, the software is safe,
easy to install, and will only take a few minutes. After installation, you will never need to re-install again,
leaving you more time to click around with our constantly evolving robotics!
Essentially, you sign on, join a queue, get two minutes to play with the cats via robotic toys.
"Jedi Cat"
Luntik the cat lives in Russia's far eastern city of Vladivostok and caused a stir because of his four ears. He has been dubbed "Jedi Cat" by the British press. While his two main ears are perfectly normal, the small pair of vestigial ears contain no ear canals.
Four-eared cats have been reported as far back as the 1950s. More recently, Yoda the cat made similar headlines in Chicago.
I'm about to adopt a beautiful 5 year old Turkish Van. He was acheduled to be euthanized tomorrow. He lived in an old folks home and his owner died. He's a pretty boy and supposedly very sweet. He'll be wonderful company for Big Puss, who is also a very sweet boy except for the constant shedding, which he is doing on my keyboard right now as I type.
Bless you! Because of you that animal will have a life!

@blueveinedthrobber,
Good on you, Bear.
That cat will love you forever for taking him in when he needed a home.
Cats are like that, ya know.

I can't believe I'm doing it. Obviously I'm going soft in my old age. Either that or I fear God's judgment throne because of the life I've led and now I'm trying to do one or two decent things. Perhaps a little of both
