@Reyn,
OMG! That must be the cutest cat-outfit I've ever seen in my life! Adorable!

Cripes, I really doubt any of my 3 kitties would tolerate mitts for more than 2 seconds. Did she keep them on for longer than that?

@BorisKitten,
Laughing BK, the Christmas items have been digitally added to the photo that I posted previously. My wife's good at doing this, isn't she?

We wouldn't have tormented poor Sophie after only being in our home for 9 days. She didn't feel a thing. Laughing

I hope nobody minds me posting a couple more shots of our new little guy that I took this morning. She's been a real delight!

Here's Sophie getting ready to pounce on a toy:

@Reyn,
Some seem to have the attitude, all right. I kept a kitten in the house while the owner was out of town. Cute little Himalaya, by the way, but had no concept of guesting or simply stated English. "Get your fuzzy butt off my goddamn table, CAT" I said. She looked around at me like "Were you possibly addressing ME, in THAT tone of voice?" I've still got claw marks on the solid oak table top, but she did end up on the floor.

@roger,
For what it's worth, it's better to housesit in the cat's home, if the subject ever comes up.

@snood,
Aw, Dash looks very cozy!

Cleo too... does she like belly rubs? If so, a belly-rub for her. (I've never met a dog that doesn't like belly rubs, but cats can go either way -- some love it, some hate it.)

@sozobe,
Soz,
Cleo is so particular that she would barely even let me touch her for the first 5 months of our 'blended cat family' - now its hard to get her off my lap. and yes, she loves her pudgy tummy rubbed.

What's Happy, A Siberian MIX, or Maine Coon MIX?

Not that it matters, f0lks, I'm just curious. I've read that Siberians are more Round than Maine Coons, who are more Rectangular.

Happy looks, um, BIG here, not to mention ROUND as well. Poo (dog) on the floor weighs 80+ lbs. Happy's about 12 lbs at 16 months old.

Here we have Happy laying on a NOT-normal sized ream of paper! The paper is 11" x 17":

Do you see that back-toe Extreme Pouffiness? I mean, what IS that giant Fur-Spur, anyway?

And here we have Happy next to the famous, pathetic-looking Boris Kitten:

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3531/3985553532_94c1c8cc6c.jpg

Allow me to say Yet Again: Boris is allergic to "Something in the air" (per the Vet), and gets monthly vet-injections of, um, "Depo-Medro?" something like that, plus he's always on Advantage for fleas, plus his fur always looks like crap, despite my flea-combing, etc.

At any rate, Boris weighs about 10 lbs.

So, what is Happy? Well, he's obviously a Mix of some sort: A medium-to-long-haired Domestic Cat Mix, to be precise.

Anyone who has time might want to see if Happy is more Siberian (my vote, at the moment), or Maine Coon (my original thought).

@BorisKitten,
"a mix of some sort". Right. His momma was a nice kitty, and his daddy came from a good neighborhood - probably.
