Do Slovaks serve any purpose in today's society?

Slovak underwear is of the finest quality, but it doesn't hold one's nuts in when one is jogging.

Good morning to you, littlek.

I've just got back from Birmingham, where I have been getting in touch with my female half for the weekend.

I warmed my hands first, I may add.

The big move is still in it's infancy, lk. We're looking at May possibly?

Gus will now be mad at me for derailing his thread, so I'd better get back on track.

Slovakia is a savage country, where the population are mainly heathen...
...and Dag is not the only wild creature roaming the land.

I was once bitten by a bear in the lower tatra. I ended up walking like John Wayne for a couple of months.

How can anyone be against a country who's national pastime is hunting mushrooms?

damn straight, girlfriend!!! We are straight-up pacifists. Never fought a war of our own. We just hid in the mountains every now and then.

Nonsense, Mr. Ellpus, my threads are directionless. Feel free to wander.

What do the English do about the pesky Slovaks, Lord?

Are they as big a problem there as they are here in the States?

Some consider the Brits as dim-witted as the Slovaks, but I am not in that crowd.

We very rarely see Slovaks over here, Gus. They tend to land at Heathrow, connecting with other onward flights, and make fools of themselves by challenging innocent old british grannies to drinking contests in the airport bars.

The cleaners pick up at least three Slovaks a week off the floor, and take them somewhere to sleep it off for a while.

The Brits have been warned not to accept their challenges, as the embarrassment to their country has now reached levels that require diplomatic intervention.

Here is an example of a Slovak's contribution to society. This comes from Julianna Lazorik Barnyik Ambrisko and it is her recipe for Creamed Gizzards...

2 lbs of Chicken Gizzards cleaned & cut up in half

Put in pot with water to cover

Add teasp salt, cook till boiling

Cook 10-15 min pour off water

Let cool cut up very finely

Add new water, boil again for 2 1/2 hours

add chopped onion & celery, salt & pepper.

When tender make basic cream sauce with milk & flour & butter till thick

Serve poured over mashed potatoes or toast.

I mean, really, do I have to say anything else?

Case closed.
