Didn't you mean anti-Nazi? There were a lot of good Germans who detested Hitler, and what he was doing to Europe.
Yeah? Just curious (not a student of history), did they say anything at the time, or did history hear about their protests after the smoke cleared?
Risking their lives protecting Jewish people was proof enough for me.
Lash, can't you satisfy yourself just with fukking up your own lines of thought and conversation? Must you attempt to fuk up all the others, as well? Never mind - rhetorical....
Don't sweat it Mesquite, it ain't nothing special. It's just a red button at the top of the page. I assume it produces a fart-like sound. I've never "pushed the button," but then, i don't have the speakers turned on when i go online, so it would be pointless.
I have never even SEEN the button

Didn't get the answer you wanted?
My, my. Temper.
Ask a question, and you'll get an answer.
Deal with it.

Snood and Intrepid,
I posted that "I don't think a redneck would like being linked to a terrorist in any way" statement to the both of you and should have made that very clear. I also should have added, "Do you?" to it.
Consider this a repost please.
I don't think ANYBODY would like being linked to a terrorist
Intrepid,
I can tell you one thing for sure, I know a few rednecks here in Louisiana and if you equated them with being a terrorist, well, let's just say the alligators wouldn't go hungry. (Not literal but you get my meaning.)
Redneck may have, at one time, been a silly slang term, but unfortunately, as with many other words today, it has become a word that many find extremely offensive and discriminatory.
Jeff Foxworthy is the best
Who said rednecks are terrorists?

There were few that risked their lives to protect anyone. In general they were four square behind Hitler and his monsters. What we did find out after the war. There were no Nazi's in Germany and that Germans had no sense of smell. They could not smell the stink of burning flesh coming from the smokestacks.
That aside you would not find one American who was not anti German during WW2. So why is it so suproising that they are anti Moslem at this juncture.

Maybe people who are so upset about the word "redneck" should mount a protest of Foxworthy.
I'm sure he'd stop the act immediately, since it's such a serious affront to decency.
Au--
The ones that did risk their lives, I felt, deserved recognition.
Intrepid,
Jeff Foxworthy has been changing his act somewhat. He's not quite so critical of rednecks as he used to be. I saw an interview with him at one time and he told of some rednecks that confronted him with this and they sat down and talked it out. He has changed his views somewhat on the term, but, I don't think I ever heard him use the term "terrorist" regarding a redneck. So, I think it's very important not to equate terms such as (towelhead, terrorist, redneck) as on par with anything else. Out intent may not be to offend, but I think it is the words themselves that are what really offends. Just my opinion.
I think that beling linked to "terrorist" in any way, shape, matter, or form would highly offend anyone, just as you stated.
For what it's worth. The words towelhead, redneck and all of the other words in this same genre are repulsive to me used in any context.
The word terrorist has a specific meaning and can apply to anyone who fits the description. This words stands on it's own and should remain as such regardless of what nationality, religion or planet the terrorist is associated with.
I think Foxworthy using 'redneck' is acceptable for the same reason Chris Rock using the N-word in his routine is acceptable.
But I'm strange like that.
Snood,
I can agree with you up to a point. It is certainly well known that Jeff Foxworthy and Chris Rock are comedians and pretty much anything is up for grabs to get a laugh out of people and I think most understand that neither of them are actually making fun of someone to inflict any kind of damage.
I would imagine though that you agree that coming from the everyday person (you, me, Intrepid, etc.) using those two terms even in a joke can offend someone?
I guess I feel it's better to err on the side of caution and just not do it. That way, you don't have to worry about hurting anyone's feelings or offending them. Being politically correct can really be a pain, but it has it's good points also.
I'm pretty much with Intrepid. I don't like the terms at all. Living around what others would call rednecks gives me a pretty good appreciation for why they don't like it. It's not a completely black and white issue IMO. Not much is anymore.
Momma.... watch your use of the words black and white. Thank you.
