This is incorrect. I referred to a specific group of terrorists as "towelheads," as well as several other much more colorful terms.

Not Arabs. Or Muslims.

Terrorists.

I do understand some people here consider the term as a catch-all for all people of Arab descent. However, that was not my statement, or my intent. <just to clarify untrue assertion.>

Don't bother him now, Lash, he's busy attempting to get a rise out of me . . . it's such a labored process on his part, i don't think it fair for you to interfer.

C'mon, grampa - you know damn well it'd take a pound of yeast and a hoist to get a rise out of you.

You're just an ill mannered tiresome pain in the arse whom I write answers to just to interrupt the "resident expert on everything who's been at A2K the longest" spiel.

I'm not sure that rednecks would like to be associated with the word terrorist in any way at all.

You seem to base MANY contentious arguments with me on what you "seem to remember," and you are increasingly INCORRECT! "Redneck" is a silly slang term. I've tried to draw comparisons to make the point I make now. Redneck is on par with towelhead.

I wonder if Jesus is anti muslim:

"I am giving YOU a new commandment, that YOU love one another; just as I have loved YOU, that YOU also love one another. 35 By this all will know that YOU are my disciples, if YOU have love among yourselves." (John 13: 34,35)

Of course, by that standard, perhaps he is anti christian as well.

You cannot separate religion from government in the Moslem world. And despite what they would like to sell us. Islam is at war with the US.

back to the muslim way with toilets...

"It is Mustahab that a person sitting for relieving himself, sits at a place where no one would see him, and enters the toilet with his left foot forward, and comes out with his right foot. It is also Mustahab to cover one's head, and to place one's weight on the left foot."

Someone please tell me this is not for real.

You can't separate religion from government in any world. If you don't think nationalism is a form of religion, try publicly burning your country's flag.

And not for the faint of heart.

Put your left foot in
Put your left foot out
Put your left foot in and shake it all about. . .

Are we still making the case that Islam is irrational? Well, duh. It's a religion. Look up what weird admonishments and exhortations are spelled out in the Bible. The "Book of Lists" has, i.a., a list of "16 Cases of People Killed by God", specifying for each what the transgression and method of execution was - hilarious.

Didn't you mean anti-Nazi? There were a lot of good Germans who detested Hitler, and what he was doing to Europe.

Yeah? Just curious (not a student of history), did they say anything at the time, or did history hear about their protests after the smoke cleared?

But we are not governed by irrational exhortations as listed in the bible. We have have left those primitive penal codes behind, thank GOD. The muslims however have not. They still chop off heads and limbs for real now in the 21st century. As for stoning to death and stipulations about the correct Islamic way to take a dump...

really nimh is it any wonder that so many people like me regard Islam as not only backward and irrational, but positively harmful?

I was content to let them get on with their lives within the law so long as it doesnt bother me. But they are not. They want to change the law to suit themselves, and that does indeed bother me.

Yep, it's for real, at least for the followers of that particular ayatullah.
