So, we opened last night in Provincetown, to a rowdy loud, but very fun crowd of mostly gay guys. They yell at you when you pass by exiting the stage ("hey hot stuff!" and such), they laugh all the time, they comment and scream, very different crowd from Boston, much more fun.
New development: I am doing a few extra dances, including one that involves wearing just pasties. Well, and fishnets, panties and heels. Yep, me, the good girl from a stuck up catholic country. That's how we turn out.
Anyway, we got a long standing ovation, it seems like it will be a very successful summer up in P-town. We'll also be on the cover of P-town magazine on the 4th of July week, frolicking in the swimming pool just behind the Paramount theatre. It's good to be back after a month long break!

I'd pay money to see that.
Sounds like fun, dag.
Tell me there's a thong or something under those fishnets!
yes, mac. that would not be comfortable. not that it is anyways, but oh well. i do what Nana (director) tells me to do. He knows what he's doing, apparently. He's surrounded by adoring crowds. Or hating crowds. But he certainly doesn't leave anybody feeling lukewarm about him and his work.
Well, as things go before the opening night, tension ran high and there was a screaming exchange or a few (I avoid such, so that doesn't really concern me). One of the cast members is an acclaimed web cartoonist. And his comic for today is about that rehearsal. I couldn't stop laughing. Dragon Queen, mwahaha. Don't know how it works with copyrights, so I won't post the picture here, just the link. Hope that that's kosher.

you can enlarge it by clicking on that thingamajig that appears in the bottom right corner when you hover over it with the mouse. Or just go to
www.somethingpositive.net ; it's the comic for today.
Dag,
you look stunning in that pic !
I'm very fond of "putting up with this BS cuz that's what theatre is about"!
So true.
Heh, that's an actual quote from the fight. The dragon queen, that would of course be Nana. And oh how fitting. That's precisely what he is. But when not firey, he looks after his orphans well. i really cannot complain. i stay out of trouble and rather serve as a mediator there.

was that you yelling?! not that i mind... just didn't see it as a george thing, really.
There are many sides to the George thing.
The male posters on this thread were excited about your new costume, dagmaraka. (Your conversation with mac spoiled the glamor a little bit.)
Sorry wandel, I got over the glamour a long time ago.
We are still trying to figure out who all is going this week........ looks like one of us six will have to stay home with the kids.

will it help if i tell you that one of the pasties nearly fell off halfway before we went on stage and sent me into a state of panic, so much so that i forgot the whole choreography and just waved the feathers around frantically? my poor co-dancer had to adopt a similar style.we survived. but next time i'm using superglue.
