awl. Puppies are cute and Jespah's is especially cute. I withdraw my suggestion about grilling puppies. I certainly hope I didn't offend anyone.

Has anyone here had broiled kitten?

We are now officially in baseball wasteland for 3 days. I hate the all-star break.

Ending up in a tie is not very satisfying. But I ended up in a tie with Tico in Week #14. I feel lucky. Going into Sunday's games I trailed. And it looked a bit bleak. But my hitters did well. Three of them combinded for ten RBI's.

Rankings based on matchups:
1st: Boston Puppies @ 9-5-0 (1st in Yahoo)
1st: Schomeana Pancakes @ 9-5-0 (3rd)
3rd: JPinMilw @ 8-5-1 (2nd)
4th: Fiery Tamales @ 7-7-0 (4th)
5th: Ticomayo @ 5-7-2 (5th)
5th: Rednecks @ 5-7-2 (7th)
7th: Pancho @ 5-8-1 (6th)
8th: Sister Fister @ 4-8-2 (8th)

I started to do that, Joe, but it was taking too long. Thanks.

The Pancakes are my bane.

The home run derby was won by Philadelphia Phillies 1B Ryan Howard of the Fiery Tamales. New York Mets 3B David Wright of the Ticomaniacs took second. Florida Marlins 3B Miguel Cabrera (Tamales) took third. Fourth place went to David Ortiz, 1B of the Boston Red Sox (and the Boston Puppies), who hit the longest home run of the evening.

Rounding out the field were: Jermaine Dye, OF of the Chicago White Sox (Shmokeandapancake), Baltimore Orioles shortstop Miguel Tejada (Tamales), Houston Astros 1B Lance Berkman (Ticomaniacs), and Toronto's Troy Glaus (Ticomaniacs).

When reached for comment after the competition, Ryan Howard said, "I owe it all to the Tamales. Arriba!"

Um, what is "Rotisserie?" If it involves roasting puppies over an open flame, I am all for it.

I was pleased Berkman and Glaus bowed out early. Didn't want their HR swings all messed up.

I'm still outta the comfort of my home so I won't have time to make necesarry adjustments so I just have hope playing to my advantage, hope that I don't go for my 4th (or 5th) straight losing week.

The good news is I might get to know AT&T Park, and watch ol' Barry. Too bad the A's are playing away.

jpin, I feel kinda bad for rejecting both trade offers you've made but I feel it's better for my team to stay like this.

No worries... my starting pitching has been what has been killing me lately anyway.

Your pitching staff beat up on my pitching staff last week.

But then again, my pitchers were quite stinky.

Yeah... our pitching staffs were pretty equally bad last week. Only 2 wins between the both of us.

Shmoke had an awesome week, it's hard to do better than he did. I, on the other hand, did not do so well.

He beat me the week before, too.

In the mean time, I can't catch a break pitching wise. Nate Robertson was 8-3 when I picked him up with a 5 game unbeaten streak. Since then he has gone 0-3 giving up 14 earned runs.

I tried to take Nate back from you, but you wouldn't let me.

I have yet to beat Shmoke. The last time I played him, Nate Robertson pitched 8 2/3 innings for me, and was one pitch away from a CG/SO, .... and last night Liriano pitched 8 2/3, allowing a run to score ... again, one pitch away from CG & SO. I can't catch a break.

Give me another try... I think you'll find me much more compliant.
