My fav is Peppermint Schnapps from the freezer, and a cold glass of ice tea. Add a tad of lemon with it and some ice.. oh man its so good going down.http://smilies.networkessence.net/s/kao/otn/pcheers1.gif

But with me, I'm a mint freak anyway. So anything schnapps is good. Grasshoppers though.. i dunno something doesn't seem right about them. I dont really care for the "milky" drinks. Mudsides are ok but i can't stand them very often.http://www.industreal.spb.ru/smiles/drink.gif

Might I add, I indulge about once a six-month... so I really shouldn't be giving my 2 Cents here. Embarrassed

White Rum and Tonic.

In the backyard's dimming light,
watching fireflies signaling,
laying way back in the chaise,
exhaling.

The ice cubes crackle,
the sky changes
sweet baby blue
to paper white,
gray hair gray,
to tarpatch black.

a drone of a distant airplane,
the twack of a closing door
a radiovoice murmurs

a last bird hurries home
the hazy stars try to get
the fireflies' attention.

I hold
the piece of lemon peel
between my teeth
inhale the air of summer's night
in the backyard's dimming light.

I like to drink martinis, one at maybe the most.
Two I'm under the table, three I'm under my host.

Iced coffee with lots of cold milk
Unsweetened ice tea
Cold water

Prosecco with Aperol on ice in a longdrink glass
Campari with OJ
Campari with pink grapefruit juice and soda

And just now I had a nice cold bottle of Bacardi Breezer Tropical Lemon - tasted a lot like summer vacation :-)

Nice...booze talk.

I love sangria...just had some on Friday at a Spanish restaurant. Can't beat it.

Magaritas on the rocks are a good time.

For beer in the summer, I like Sam Adams Cherry Wheat when I can find it on tap.

And I've got a good martini I like to make. Chocolate rasberry: pour stoli rasberry vodka in a shaker with ice, creme de cacao(spelling?), with a splash of chambord. Makes bitchez pants come right off.

The last part was a lie. The roophies do that.

Slappy, you should stick to gin then, "the panty remover"....won't need roophies. Either that or spring break and a camera crew....they'll strip for perceived future fame, I hear, but then again, you 'mericans are wacky that way....

We have a nice raspberry-wheat beer here that I quite like, made by Kelowna Lakes Brewery. Very tasty. I also look forward to the Belgian fruit lambics in the summer....pricey, but good.

You don't need a video camera either. In Cancun(which I've been to three times), all you need are some Mardi Gras beads on your neck, and a girl will gladly show you what she's got under the hood, just to "earn some beads." Now I think of it, I got a chick coming to visit me this weekend from out of state I met that exact way in Cancun. Life sucks.

Gin may work. So does doing tequilla body shots.

A good vodka martini straight up and/or a Cape Codder - they're the best!

Slappy, isn't that how America got Manhattan? Which reminds me...Manhattans are a disgusting drink....GreenEyes has the right idea, straight up, maybe a twist, but no olive. I have an interesting recipe for an octopus martini though, which has a smoked baby octopus as a garnish. Personally, I like my hors d'ouevres on the side.
