Never have been to a Publix market as far as I know (not responsible for places I visited when drunk and searching for cheap beer).

Not fair! You live close to Little Italy in NYC. I live in Sarasota, FL. I'm talking chain supermarket. For a chain these are good...but not like North End in Boston and soitnly not like Little Itly.

Little Italy in San Diego has several good shops. Too far away for a cannoli quicky, though.

I'm not surprised you haven't seen a Publix supermarket. They're huge (multi-billion dollar) down here and the areas served are in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama.
