@jespah,
This butternut squash thing is becoming like Uncle Whatsit's (was it Dick's?) King Charles' Head in David Copperfield.

Are you losing your mind?

Also, is butternut squash the same as butternut pumpkin?

This is butternut pumpkin:

I just checked...it was Mister Dick who suffered from King Charles' head-ism. You need to be careful.

@dlowan,
how do you get punkin from squash?

a punkin is round and used for jackolanternism ceremonials.

pictured is a squash, which was also dinner last evening...

it was delicious, sturgis.

@Rockhead,
We don't have squashes...or if we do they are drinks. Like lemon squash.

And we eat pumpkins.

There used to be some weird pumpkiny thing called trombone, only it was pale and watery and I hated it. Not sure if we still have that.

@ehBeth,
Just cos you have some weird generic thing called squash doesn't mean everyone has to.
We have lots of different types of pumpkins.

Ain't much punkin pie around here if'n you're looking for dessert pies. You just don't see it in restaurants.

I make the occasional savoury pumpkin pie with ginger and garlic and stuff - but I'd rather just eat the pumpkins (any sort) - prefer roasted, thank you - but soup is good, too - and mashed, and steamed, and.....

@Ticomaya,
No, but yellow is a test question for m'eyes. I think I see yellow, but I suppose I miss. The yellow circle I think I do see isn't convincing as a cat, unless a cartoon.
Why would this test post a cartoon cat?
Hiss.......
