Sorry I haven't posted back here in a long time, I've been very busy organizing the film and everything.
I do have a script but it is going through some rewrites but basicly the story i wrote in my last post is staying.
We have the 2 Nazi Reenactors locked for 4/1 and 4/15 and a third filming date of 4/2 in which they can not attend but we will be filming the stuff that doesn't require them.
This weekend I will travel home to NJ to scout filming locations. Does anyone know a place in NJ that they feel would be a good location? In other woods, does anyone know of any really good old shacks in the woods?
I'll keep everyone updated.

real quick question.... What language would these Belgium people be speaking at this time and would it be the same language the german soldiers can understand?
Would they people able to udnerstand each other?
Since your film is B&W silent, I thinkyou can let this one go. The national languages aren't compatible, but the people in the region are often multi-lingual.
Correct, as Mr Hinteler pointed out earlier. a small part of the Ardennes is German speaking, a tiny fringe speaks Dutch, The Luxemburg area speaks Letzeburgs (a language related to German and Dutch), while the largest part of the area is French speaking, so take your pick :-)
I only ask because I may choose to add sound later on in Post-production.
Also.... During this time, An american soldier would have his head shaven like one would today right? or are pilots different?

Looks very good. Now you have actors with good period costumes, a good location, and probably a good shooting script. When do you start actual production? Will you do the editing?
Shooting will be March 31st-April 2nd. So I have some pre-production time.
yes... So I have a good location....2 Nazi Reenactors who are also dressed...
I need the rest of the cast and I need to dress them... Auditions are probably going to be next weekend possibly.... We'll beginning to schedule that.... if anyone knows people that are actors and want to audition let me know.... We are looking through headshots and casting websites for actors now.

Screenplay about Holland
I have been reading with much interest about your proposed screenplay about Holland in WWII. I like very much your idea and some of the suggestions you received. I can visualize the following scenario: The story will be told by the child as he remembers it. He is now a middle aged man, a member of the Dutch government. Beside him are other men his age or older, including one elderly gentleman who is unidentified. The girl and her little 'brother' are working in the tulip field. Actually, as has been established, the boy is a Jewish refugee whose parents have been taken and he has been left with the girl for safekeeping. (This will be later in the war, perhaps 1944 before the Allies tried to capture the Bridge at Arnham. Perhaps there are two girls, the other a friend. This will give an opportunity for conversation revealing the harshness of the occupation. Many young men have been taken to Germany for forced labor so perhaps the other girl's fiance is there. The boy is becoming a pest, so they tell him to go entertain himself. The two soldiers are relaxing under the tree nearby. They are part of a patrol who has been sent to look for a suspected parachutist in the area. They are tired and bored and not much interested in what is going on (draftees, probably privates or something). At first they are amused by the boy and try to make friendly conversation with him. Then he annoys them too and they chase him away. He goes into the woods where he sees a man burying a parachute. The man is an SOE operative who has been sent to find out which agents of the Dutch underground are still operating in the area as many have been arrested or betrayed. He talks to the boy. The boy takes him to meet his "sister." The girl takes the man and the boy to the farmhouse where the old couple live (her grandparents?), They have a discussion about what to do. There is some hesitation, as the situation is obviously very dangerous. The man agrees to abide by his wife's decision but is leery, remembering the German children who were taken in by Dutch families during the British blockade of WWI when Germany was starving. Many of those children came back in uniform. The British agent borrows (or steals) a bicycle to go into the town to find out about his contacts, finds out they have been arrested. This is also a dangerous situation, because bicycles are in danger of confiscation. He also thinks about the British agents who were kidnapped in Holland and taken to Germany just before WWII, when they agreed to meet with anti-Nazi agents working against Hitler. The 'anti-Nazi' they met with turned out to be Walter Schellenberg, the man who later replaced Reinhard Heydrick as head of the SD. Who to trust? Meanwhile, one of the German soldiers who noticed the girl also noticed the man with her. He follows her and tells her he thinks she is helping an Allied agent. SInce he is a soldier and not particularly an ideologue, he offers to keep quiet in exchange for favors. WHen she declines he tries to force the issue, and the Englishman kills him. THey hide the body. Now they are really "in Dutch" pardon the pun. Meanwhile, one of the leading citizens of the town is a member of the Dutch National Socialist who is much feared. He is openly sympathetic to Germany, says that Germany is the world's only hope of holding the line against the Jewish Bolshevist threat and that the Dutch royal family betrayed the people by leaving and going to England. Finally (I don't know exactly what leads to this) he shows up at the farmhouse where the Englishman is waiting for his contact. He takes the girl, the boy and the ENglishman into custody. They go to his home, where he is holding them at gunpoint. He makes a brief call in German, to the Gestapo, he says. Soon Dutch partisans arrive. They went with the armed forces to England in 1940 when the royal family left, and have returned to help the partisan efforts. One of them takes the Dutch traitor outside, behind a barn, and a shot is heard. The partisan returns alone.
Since it was impossible to escape across the North Sea because it was so heavily patrolled, people had to be smuggled into other countries overland, working with underground units in Belgium. From there they were smuggled through France to Switzerland, Spain and other same havens. Traveling overland in Holland was extremely dangerous because the land was very flat and afforded no cover such as woods or hills that aided partisans in other countries. Because the land was so interspersed with canals travel had to be along the main roads and canals which were closely watched. After many dangers, the three people reach safety. I assume a romance will develop between the girl and the Englishman. When they reach SOE headquarters in London, the Dutch traitor is sitting before him in a Dutch uniform. He was actually working for the government in exile, pretending to be a Nazi sympathizer. The men in the partisan group worked for him. In the beginning Resistance groups were not very organized and many were individual operations. Resistance was fery risky and those who were caught paid a dreadful price, nevertheless many people did it. Some people joined the Dutch National Socialist Party to work for the government in exile and send information. He was afraid the Nazis were beginning to suspect him, so an 'execution' was staged to arrange his disappearance. And that is my story, just off the top of my head from reading the other posts. It's only playihg with ideas. You'll do you story the way you want to. Thanks and good luck.
A few afterthoughts occurred to me after my post. Holland was sympathetic to Germany during WWI and there was some anti-British sentiment because of the Boer War. Queen Wilhelmina sent a ship to rescue Paul Kruger, and the Kaiser chose Holland for his exile. They are racially and linguistically very similar to Germans. (But not politically, I sincerely hope) At least, not most of them. These things could add complications for your characters if one of them is English.
Narilym, Excellent but it has to be compressed to less than 15 minutes. Perhaps with your great storyline Drew could persuade his professor to lengthen his War Movie.

My world war 2 reenactors cancelled at the last minute.
They said they can come on the 15th now but I don't really trust them.

I need to know how to say, "Stop, you're annoying me!" in Dutch.... online translation websites are always wrong from what i udnerstand...

You should give the context so that the precise meaning of "annoying" is clear. I can think of:
- "Hou op! Je doet me pijn!" ('How opp, yuh dude-muh paheen', in which 'paheen' is pronounced short as if it were a one syllable word and 'yuh' and 'muh' are pronounced with short and flat 'uh' sounds as in "suck") This means "Stop (it) you are hurting me!"
- "Ja hou nou maar op" ('Yaah, how now maa-ropp' in which the 'aah' is open as in the start of "aye" and the 'r' is pronounced rolling) This means "Right, you can cut it out now" and you can say it if someone you know is annoying you.
And finally, "Leave me alone!" is "Laat me met rust!" ('Laaht muh met ruhst')
