CJ and sglass, i certainly did get that (i think we all did) and can appreciate it,however that doesn't change what i said, i still think that pics are just a nice extra bonus and getting actually cross with Kris for not taking people photos is, well, it is your choice. anyway, i just think it was carried out slightly in poor taste. Why on earth is Kris responsible, of all people, for getting the pictures online here?

Dag your patronizing attitude is also in poor taste.

Based on my observations, this is indeed how she talks to people.

I talked with my sister today. S., her Boston friend, will be celebrating her birthday on Saturday October 18th, and told her she intended to invite me. I don't have her official invitation yet, but I thought I'd pencil in Sunday, October 19th, for a possible next get-together.

Any Boston A2Kers whose welcome I have not managed to wear out out yet should have enough advance notice this time. Smile

I've just put you on our calendar. It'll be Sukkot; bring some fresh fruits and vegs of the season, or something. Smile

Fresh fruits and vegs for the season. Got it. In the Sukkot context, would they serve mostly for eating? Or mostly for decoration, as in the German Erntedankfest? My ignorance of Jewish holidays is frightfully vast.

I've got a wedding to go to Saturday, but I should be free on Sunday.

I'm not at all convinced that giving us Bostonians a long time to plan is a good thing. Or a thing that will yield better results.

I know. I wish I'd gotten to see you more often between my arrival in America and your departure. (Which is kind of funny -- we didn't get along at all in the thread we first met in.) But you can't have everything. Have fun swimming those channels, and get a good start in Den Haag!

We'll find out. Moreover I was quite happy with the results last time, so what do I have to lose?

(And my last response was to Dagmaraka -- didn't see yours when I hit "submit".)

Mostly for decoration, which is odd because virtually all of our holidays revolve around either eating or fasting.
