You're right. It is amazing (and sometimes scary).

I was on a bus one time, and this strange-looking guy got on and sat next to me. He immediately started up a conversation (well a monologue, really) about this Native-American meditation practise. He said to meditate, as usual, but to keep your eyes open and still. The practise is to become completely aware of everything that you see, so that you are focusing on objects in your peripheral vision just as much as whatever you happen to be looking at, directly.

Doktor S,

Why on earth would you describe a conversation mutually engaged in as "watches the hounds salivate over a potential conversion?"

Don't you realize it is not men that convert someone? Don't you realize only the Holy Spirit can do that?

There is a feeling that I call "love".

I have a soft spot for Buddhism. It kept me from going nuts at a time when I was desperate for answers. It's really not accurate for me to say that I like "Buddhism". What I like are a lot of the teachings that are attributed to the Buddha.

I think I've heard of that too echi, sounds like Shamanism in a way. I use to think they saw certain visions cause of what they smoked, lol.

I've seen alot in my lifetime. But alot of it doesn't matter as I belong to the one and true King.

Riiiight...so the holy spirit must be pretty busy, converting people to hare krishna and moonism as well as ten thousand other religions people aren't converting eachother to every day?
Seriously...I know no such thing, and neither do you.

What does love feel like to you? Does it have the capacity to give answers in a desperate situation?

The one that probably stuck with me the most is the idea of the eternal. That time is not what it seems. That nothing is what it seems. That the true nature of anything is Buddha-nature.

I can't help but feel that 2012 will be big. Very Happy

But I know that's a whole 'nother thread.

You do have a soft spirit echi, I can sense tranquility, yet confusion.

Sometimes a feeling or an experience is better than an actual answer.

Pretty impressive. You can get that from just some words on a screen?
I am confused, that's true. I don't know anyone who isn't. My tranquility comes from my confidence that I am on a good path.

Well, it may just be the result of too much miseducation. I think we have a lot more to unlearn than we have to learn.

Thanks, they are more than just words, so they are easy to pick up on how one is and how they feel inside. They are pouring out their personality and their soul when they type. Kind of like a poem, but non rhyming. If that makes any sense.

I suspect Dok will come along any min. now. I mentioned the word 'soul'.

Laughing
