I fear you are just being too kind. I don't question your motivation, here. I am confident that anything you have to tell me will be out of concern rather than malice or spite. My mind (for the moment) remains wide-open.

So, might God set different standards for different people? Could you and I find a different, even contradictory, truth by reading the exact same Bible verse? Is that possible?

There is only one truth. Finding it is the hard part.

echi,

I have to agree with Intrepid. There is only one truth. Let me ask you this, would you feed a baby steak and potatoes right away? Do you teach a first grader a college course?

I believe God reveals the truth to us as we can understand it and accept it.

Thanks. That makes sense.
How do you feel your understanding of God's Truth has grown over the years?

This is either proof that you have nothing better to do in your day than repeat a question that doesn't qualify an answer, or it's proof that whatever point you were attempting to make has been so solidly batted aside that your only recourse is to outlast him.

If the question doesn't qualify an answer, then the post that prompted it does not exist.

Thank you for your interest.

The post you refer to:

Which is to say, you figured out when you got here that you wouldn't get away with promoting your webshite, or your favorite webshite, just chock full o millenarian horsie poop, rapture and all, so now you want to e-mail so you can give the link you dare not post in the open.

I think he qualified it enough for most people to recognize that he was not referring to MA's site (which is posted free and clear for everyone to see in her profile.) Repetition of the same question, plus your sarcastic reposte do little to credit whatever point it is you thought you were making.

Questioner,

Actually, I think Mr. Setanta was referring to my website. I did post it wrongly on A2K earlier this year. I didn't read the complete TOS. It was my fault for doing it. I think that's how all that got started in this thread.

I'm glad that helped explain it a bit. My understanding has grown over the years by reading the Word and talking to others. I only had the basic truths like what is right and wrong at first. Also, I had no idea of the depth of the love the Lord has for us. In reading and studying and sharing with others, I have come to understand that much better.

Actually, it was a qualified statement in that it referred either to MOAN's website or -sites, or her favorite website--and therefore Questioner's point about Intrepid's stupidity is well taken.

Mr. Setanta,

But you don't even know what my favorite website is, do you? Idea Mr. Setanta, I really am sad to see that word stupidity associated with someone because of how they perceived something.

Momma--

Why do you think we're living in the "end times"? And how much time do you think we have? A week? A year? A hundred years?

You should be ashamed of yourself, Setanta. You are afraid to use the word directly, so you impose your use of words like stupidity onto Questioner who said nothing of the kind. Here he was sticking up for you and you attribute words to him that he never said.

Shame, Setanta, Shame.

No, i don't, nor am i interested. The point is that you wish to exchange emails with someone for the purpose of giving links to either your site or someone else's site which will peddle the millenarian claptrap--as ought to e obvious to anyone who reads this in context.

A good way to avoid such embarrassment is for the person in question to engage his brain before he releases the clutch on his mouth--so to speak.

Yes, echi. I do believe we are in the end times. All the prophecies of the Bible have now come to pass. As for the timeframe? I have no idea. No one does. You must remember, to God a day is as a thousand years and a thousand years is as a day. So, who can tell?

All we can do is go by what the Bible says about the end times. Of course, people over time have thought that. Many thought Nero was the anti-christ. Because of all the different interpretations it's kind of hard to keep it all straight.
