I'm 4 days into a new piercing and my right is rocking, my left, just like 20 years ago, is giving me grief. But I'm optimistic.. So anyways, my piercer has been running her shop for at least 20 years and she said that after 2 weeks I'm experiencing redness & discomfort then to get tiny true gold hoops, the kind that you can sleep with, because your skin might be having a hard time breathing and tiny hoops will help that. I'm to go see her to put them in to make sure they go in properly. Hope this advice can help someone on here, and that I won't need to do that & I just had a rough sleep last night and this is just one small hiccup :-s
@werthn,
i took my ear ring out in 4 weeks and i couldnt fidn my right ear back hole for 20 minutes so i made a new hole in the back i just shoved it through so if u could help me out because when i clean it it hurts and i put a whole in the back over 2 days ago. it hurts a little bit in the back
@vtownsel,
I thought that they had to be left in at least 6 weeks turned daily and cleaned.
@werthn,
I had this problem and even asked the lady who did my piercings for helpn she said have a friend help take the safety ones off if you're having trouble because they are made to wear constantly for the first 4-5 weeks and don't come off easily. Have a friend grab both sides and just pull steiaght. I was able to do it myself after many tries lol. Then I just put in my own small post earrings that are much easier to take off.
My 5 yr old had her ears pierced 4 weeks ago... this morning she knocked one of the earrings out of her ear with the seatbelt strap. Urrrgghh! Now she won't let me put it back in because she thinks it going to hurt, like when they pierced it. I'm worried the hole will close up if I dont get it back in soon but she's so worried its gonna hurt she keeps moving away when I try to put it back in. I am keeping it clean with the solution they gave me but can anyone tell me how long before the hole will close, the earring has been out all day. I'm going to try & put it back in when she falls asleep I just hope it hasn't closed already & that she doesn't wake-up while I'm putting it back in. Any insight would be helpful. ...Thanks
Yeah, sometimes when my ears don't do their job, I punish them with needles and shove objects into them too.
I feel you bro.
@vtownsel,
It is really sad to know about ear piercing you are facing from so long. It is really a very painful. I would suggest you to drop wearing earrings and pain is really very horrible please don't hesitate to consult ENT specialist early as possible.
@vtownsel,
Kath31 if your still having problems take the earring out and put your thumb on the back of the whole and two inbetween the front and push all the stuff out that's what I had to do
@Eva,
Hi i need help with my ear piercing. I got my ears pierced a few yrs ago n my left ear got infected so i took my earrings out. After the infected piercing closed i can still see the bump or the area where my piercing used to be (it's a little pink red) even after 2 yrs for being piercing free. Im wondering if my piercing is still infected even though the hole closed. And another thing i recently got my piered again n this time my left piercing isn't infected but i still see the red small circle where my piercing was before it got infeccted. How can i fix this?
there you can get a LOBE-otomy
@Eva,
Nooooo! DO NOT USE HYDROGEN PEROXIDE. Bad advice. I've looked up what to clean your ear with and hydrogen peroxide drys it out and it's not good. They have special ear care prouducts, with the ingredient benzalkonium chloride. Get that. Also what helps get the earring in is (i know its sounds a bit gross but it really works is a little bit of spit on the post
Don't use gold earrings if you have sensitive ears! There is a common misconception that gold is hypoallergenic, but ANY gold, even 18 karat, will have small amounts of nickel in it. Since gold is so soft, it needs nickel to make it harder. Instead, you should use medical grade stainless steel, titanium, or niobium. (Niobium is the most hypoallergenic, but I have really sensitive skin and I've been okay with stainless steel so far.)
I have pierced ears for 30 years and wear all kinds of earrings except one pair of expensive pearl earrings with screw backs and only one of these earring inflames my pierced ear not the other.
I can't put nail varnish on the stem as I found suggestions about this problem, but I can't do that as it would clog the screw back.
Has anybody an answer to this unusual phenomena?
@werthn,
I would suggest first apply oil in that area and then try to put it it will go easily.
@Eva,
