Good moning, Edgar. How's that new avatar feeling? Very Happy

Have you seen the eagle webcam yet? Check it out in the Wildlife section. It's from my neck of the woods. I heard about it on the news last night.

No problem.

The eagle webcam site gets a lot of hits. That's why sometimes it's black. I saw an eagle last night and again this morning.

Apparently, the egg will hatch soon.

Well, Edgar, the day has finally come. May 1st, and I'm now officially retired.

Hoping all the ducks fall in a row now with no screw-ups......

Consider yourself Officially Congratulated, Reyn! Laughing

Does this mean you can now start drawing your pension?

Congrats, Reyn. Why did I think you were already retired. Was it just not "official" until today?

Thanks, Tico!

No. I've been on various holidays since December, just after Christmas.

Today, I'm no longer an employee of said company. Today is THE day.

Been on the phone all this morning trying to verify various things. Mostly getting the dreaded voice mail.

First pension cheque is directly deposited May 31.

My sincere congratulations, reyn. In the scheme of things it won't be so long before I emulate you.

Thanks, Edgar! I look forward to when you can do the same.

Actually, on May 3rd, Vivienne and I will be celebrating a triple occasion.

1- Our 27th wedding anniversary
2- My retirement
3- Just heard today that the lawsuit against me by the other party involved in a Dec 2003 car accident (who was at fault to begin with) has now been dropped! This gets rid of a lot of stress.

Thanks, feeling good! Now, all that's needed is for Vivienne's knee to get fixed up.

How the heck was that photo taken? I'm thinking with a fish-eye lens? It's indeed an interesting shot. Makes me a little dizzy though! Laughing

I emailed that bridge to several friends. One of them chided me for it. Wondered why I would send him a dirty picture. I ask you, in your wildest dreams, would you have expected that from anyone on the planet? I can tell you, he won't get any more pictures from me.

So, I'm 63 years old, and the girl from the temporary agency and I are discussing Social Security issues. She remarks, "Everybody dies at 65." Well, I didn't take offense. After all, she's only about 40. What does she know about life? Wait til she grows up. Then she will perhaps begin to know about these things.

I first met her about ten years ago. She's been temping all the time, but we never needed her until now. She was so dingy back then, it took a five minute conversation before I realized it was her. She's a bit of a gimp now. I notice she has a hard time getting about the property when showing new folks around. Much more calm. Back in the older days, she would wait til I walked in the office and made it to the water cooler to say something wild. "I thought you were gonna rape me." Joke.

Today, she doesn't let such talk enter a conversation. Just, "Everybody dies at 65." I wonder when we will need her again. If it's another ten years, I ought to be 8 years dead.
