Alright, we bought the booze, the potato salad looks pretty good, the sun is shining... What else can you ask for?

I guess I will have to take the car to the hotel and walk back here... I got some nice white wine...

Ooh, ooh, ooh, can't believe how jealous I am!! Please have a drink for me, just not too many or I'll start singing the Yellow Rose of Texas here in Denver. Hugs and kisses for everybody.

Panzade, I used to play the double bass. Still love the acoustic sound. Now we are going to need pictures and a sound track. Please!

Roger sweetie, why didn't you let us know you would be stopping in Denver on your way to Florida. We would have come out to say "hi" even if it was only for 15 minutes. BTW, we are looking for a house in Pueblo which will be a little closer to you.

Have fun you wonderful people!!!

Honest, Diane, there wasn't 15 minutes to spare. The inbound flight touched down at 5:40, the outbound started loading at 5:50. What an organization.

I just popped in to say that I had a wonderful time yesterday at our A2K picnic. Meeting Roger, Misty and Rae was a huge thrill. They are the kind of instant friends you could spend a decade looking to meet. Rae's 16 year old was a revelation. A lovely, intelligent teenager with a subtle, dry wit. A budding A2Ker to be sure. By the way, I'm still full.

Although I've seen those delightful faces before, it's soooooo nice to see them again, and obviously having a great time.

Rae, Doug is growing into a handsome young man. but with such a beautiful mom, I'm not surprised.

Misti, immediately thought of that little one stop shop we visited. You really look great, my friend.

Urs and BigDice, still lookin' great, with warm smiles.

Roger, where is that Florence of Arabia hat? Very Happy

Panz, I expected to see you standing behind that bass of yours. and the eternal question has always been--Do bass men wear pants? Smile

I loved seeing all of you, and Paddy's rear was especially fetching.

Letty, I sent it to Gezzy in hopes she might come down this year. Didn't work.

Here's what I think happened, C.I. An airline would never cut it so close, but Orbitz probably thought United (Albuquerque to Denver) was exactly the same as United (Denver to Orlando) for Ted. They are not the same, and don't share the same concourse, though there does seem to be some relationship. By the way, I asked around, and nobody seems to know who this "Ted" guy is, but he sure has his name on a lot of planes in Denver.

Beautiful start this morning! Got up at 5:30 to go fishing on hte pier with Rae and Doug. Damn early, colder than a witches tit, and all we got to do was to feed the fish with our shrimp... The buggers were hungry alright, but they dinna wanna come up on dry land! Still, we had a good time, saw some nice birds, and the fish the other guys caught...

Got some nice pics of the sunrise that I'll post when I get home to Germany. I mean, the sunrises that I get to see happen when I come home...

More news to come, stay tuned!

Sorry I've been so remiss about posting here, but am leaving Tues. for N. C. to visit Rae's sis and my grandies, so had to drag Roger around all day shopping ... we all KNOW how Roger LOVES to shop Crying or Very sad Mad Evil or Very Mad

It was a great party yesterday, I so enjoyed seeing everyone again and of course, meeting Panzade. He is a welcome addition to A2K and is EVERYTHING he pretends to be, and then some ......... Cool Smile  He is one of the most interesting people I've met in a long time. You feel immediately comfortable with him and conversation just flows as easily as abc!

So, I can't thank you all for being here and making our 2nd reunion so much fun.

Also, Phoenix called and spoke with everybody, which made us miss her so much.

You are all very special to Rae and me, we love you dearly.

Phoenix, we WILL
get together soon Laughing Smile Razz !

Glad to see all had a fantastic time - again! Isn't it wonderous that A2Kers can come together from all over tarnation, and enjoy each other's company. Ofcoarse, we gotta give Rae a whole lot of credit for taking on organizing those Gatherings in Florida. I keep telling myself, some day I'm gonna make it, and be part of the party. Wink BTW, great pictures.

Wow, Misti, I'm still smiling from seeing those great pics. Everyone with that sense of fun and companionship on their faces, like old friends getting together for a picnic that they have every year like a family reunion.

The friendships formed at these gatherings are genuine and valued from the very start.

Roger, that connection is unbelievable, especially at the Denver airport--which I happen to detest--I'd much rather fly into Colorado Springs. Of course, you had no choice in the matter. Glad you got there with your sanity intact--or was it???

Who got the hat you handmade for last year's gathering? It was a classic!!

Doug is a total cutie and looks so like you Rae. He sounds like the kind of kid that fits right in with any sort of group. Not surprising, considering who his mother is.

Love to all. If it's at all possible, Dys and I will get there next year.
