What do the Americans think Canada needs to be defended FROM? I am unaware that anyone has threatened Canada.
If the US wants to foot the bill, fine. I'm sure it benefits the Carlyle Group/Halliburton. Canada neither wants or needs the US. The US has done more harm to Canada with its BSE bullcrap and softwood illegal tariffs. Need your help? NO THANKS.
Most countries on the planet are getting the idea now; that aligning with the US is not a healthy move (people get bombed, ie Spain, Italy).
Canada does not shove their policies down other country's throats like America does; thus the anger engendered by that type of policy. Canada has always been known as the peacemaker, thank god there is a country on this planet that believes in peace. It certainly never has been and never will be the US. War is too profitable for you guys, isn't it?
Bush has made terrorism actually worse by his inability to understand even remotely what the cultures are in the Middle East. Ask him to explain the differences between Sunni and Shi'ite (I think he pronounces it ****) His idiotic interference and bumbling will have lasting effects for many years. Condi Rice should have stayed working at Chevron. Every time she opens her mouth - well, I'd be embarrassed if I were a Yank. She's definitely out of her realm. Along with the rest of the jokers.
If, indeed, America is interested in stopping terrorism, why don't they begin with Israel? Now, they DO have WMD's. Why are they permitted?
