I've been to Australia, I saw nary a black person, I guess there are none there.
I know some "mericun" buddhists but they don't wear the robes and such, we call them "jack buddhists"
It's interesting, I am having my first major work contact with the West Afrian community right now.
There is a focus on admitting very traumatised young folk, with no family. Some have babies. The welfare people are trying to connect them with other West African families, but the people coming in from that region all tend to be victims of such trauma.......it is awful.
There is a real African community developing here.
I knew a number socially, one of my friends is married to an African fella, but I have not run across them through work much before.
I think I will be....so much sexual trauma (lots of terrible rapes and massacres, as well as torture) guarantess it, I think.
An interesting thing here in Albaturkey is that there is no black community, there are blacks that live here but they seem to integrate immediately into the various cultures such as mestizo, mexican, spanish or indian. There really just sort of disappear.
