OK, well once we grow to an age of reason there is no reason to take the position of being uncertain? Would you agree?

I do not think you have reached the age of reason tell you realize that you may be wrong in your understanding so being uncertain is a part of logical reasoning.

Quote:
if you have opinions on whether a God exists or does not does this mean that you are saying that atheists have a belief about God?

This means that they have opinions just like you stated at first. A belief and an opinion are two different things.

Quote:
Whether or not you are certain a God actually is or is not does not matter...

I am just asking you about the Belief

If you are going to have a belief you do need to be certain it is true about what you are believing don't you.

@reasoning logic,
Good question, what is the difference between saying, I think, I think I know, I have an opinion, Or I believe?

You did understand me correct? Or were you unable to because of lack of comprehension? Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

@Zardoz,
You still do not understand the points I make to you....

How will malicious things be done away with if religion is gone? If they will not be...Is it really religion?

Merry Christmas...

Belief is the psychological state in which an individual holds a proposition or premise to be true.

philosophy has traditionally defined knowledge as "justified true belief". The relationship between belief and knowledge is that a belief is knowledge if the belief is true, and if the believer has a justification (reasonable and necessarily plausible assertions/evidence/guidance) for believing it is true.

A false belief is not considered to be knowledge, even if it is sincere. A sincere believer in the flat earth theory does not know that the Earth is flat.

An opinion is a belief about matters commonly considered to be subjective, i.e., it is based on that which is less than absolutely certain,

I think I did but was uncertain because of spelling and possible words missing but I think I might know what you were meaning. Wink

@reasoning logic,
When a person says I think, I think I know, or I have an opinion...

They do not think the same way?

So then you did not have a lack of comprehension?

If you were uncertain what did you think I could have meant?

Opinions do not go beyond beliefs in the sense of absolute certainty. You do believe with absolute certainty that God is real don't you?

@reasoning logic,
I am not saying it goes beyond...I am saying it is equal...

Yes I have a belief...And I also have an opinion, and I also think it is true, and I also think I know it is true...Because I know there are people who do not think, think they know, have an opinion, or believe...

@reasoning logic,
If it was not a particularly easy post to understand how did you figure it out? Or think you knew what I meant? Idea

Are you also uncertain that you knew you thought you knew? 2 Cents

You "tried" last time...and didn't succeed by a wide margin.

How about you stop "trying"...and actually explain what in the hell you are talking about.

Try to do it in a few sentences that are actually sentences.

@Frank Apisa,
You have failed to answer my question, or did not fully explain...

Would you like me to try to explain it again? Or not?

It really is a simple yes or no...

@reasoning logic,
So, do you think it is a good thing for you to express to me that I puzzled you, or you did not understand? And you figured it out?

Or is it better to say that it was because of lack of comprehension from me? Idea

Spade I do not understand everything you say but I do understand enough to get an approximation of what you are meaning and at times I am just having fun with you like I have been lately and I think Frank may have been doing the same. "no harm intended. Cool
