RL seems to be developing a taste for necrophilia, now he's making doughy eyes at the cryptkeeper.

But it makes no sense that only rl's insults and sneers are meaningless. All insults and sneers must be meaningless if rl's are. rl can't be unique in that respect.

What makes me snigger and smirk a bit is that atheists were offered an opportunity to sell atheism to us with the "Doing Darwin's Work For Romance" advert on these pages yesterday and they passed it up despite Aldous Huxley providing a well known example of post-modern dogging way back in the religiously controlled 1930s.

Could it be that atheists are puritan neurotics?

@spendius,
Ads seen today are for an employment agency, accident insurance and dog insurance.

Which suggests that the sociological actuaries think that atheists are out of work, accident prone dog lovers.

@XXSpadeMasterXX,
It's a parody of The Singing Ringing Tree, a Czechoslovakian fasirytale shown on British TV in the 1970s. The Fast Show was a very popular series of comic sketches. One of its famous fans is Johnny Depp. If you're a fan of Harry Potter, Warwick Davis the dwarf has played a lot of roles in the films, and the guy dressed in a rabbit costume plays Ron Weasley's dad.

It still makes a lot more sense than RL's posts. This is Johnny Depp's cameo.

I can only hypothesize that it was someone with a mind like yours that constructed the God concept.

Why? you just said above you can relate to me?

Quote:
When I say this, I say this with respect to you and your thinking but I truly do think that you have a form of theistic psychosis which enables you to believe in things that are not real.

Again, Why? Does that mean you have some kind of Free thinking Psychosis??

How could you agree with certain things I say, then when it comes to baseless ones, you think I am insane, or have a sickness?? that is just irrational on all levels...If I was delusional, nothing I say would make sense...And If some of it hits home, then the other **** is not fabricated, nor an illness, nor is it Explained by an illness...It just means, that you can't or do not understand why or how that is, or came to be...So you label people as having some type of an illness, that is irrational thinking...

It as if saying, (from an atheists view) that because other people have done things on the planet such as sky diving people in Australia right now, as we speak...But because you can not validate it, and can't see it it isn't real...When we know it very well could be happening, and is real...

The whole notion of, I can;t see it, it must be fake or not real, non-existent, or something wrong there...Is completely irrational on all accounts...Like I said, if people actually took the time to look for a God, or ask questions of the ones who say they know he is real, then their eyes would be open to it!

I do respect you but I do have to give you my honest assessment on the matter at hand.

I respect yours, And I gave mine....

I think the ladies can look after themselves. Btw I've yet to meet one who doesn't like The Fast Show. My late wife loved it.

@izzythepush,
If the ladies can look after themselves why are all these atheists continually objecting to the Church controlling them? Are you suggesting that atheists who do that are constructing straw men out of their lurid and fervid fantasies?

@spendius,
I think they do!! Wink Wink Very Happy

It has to do with the power of submission, and feeling insult or conceding is an insult of intelligence...

This is clear, because when one draws close to the line, or point of faith...and can see the light, they quickly resort back to insults, to find their happy zone...But are not free thinking enough to realize if a God is real, it makes no difference, and only hinders THEM, and they can't run forever...

You will see this, because soon enough after I post this an atheist will insult me...Just watch and pay attention!

Rather than ask me questions...they would rather insult me, and my intelligence...

So they are not as free thinking as they think...and most do not give a rat's ass about what is best for humanity, but what is best for themselves...

I wonder if any of them are actually courageous enough to answer your question of, If they answer in an affirmative on an atheist society, What they actually want us to buy into>>>??

This is crystal clear again, because if we were brainwashed into religion, then we are obviously easily persuadable....But yet as free thinkers they can not see this??

@spendius,
Oh we're on this are we? Perhaps you should post those comments on the threads about American healthcare. As far as this country is concerned, most Catholic women decide to use contraception regardless of what the Vatican says, so your straw man argument makes sense.

@izzythepush,
= insult to accept submission...Even Catholics alike! The world is on a direct course for Hell...Men and women made it that way...Atheists know this...and the "proof" is asking them how fucked up we are as a society...rather than them believing it is a time of great joy, for the free thinking thing is exploding, yet, they do not take delight in it...And are just as gloomy as faithful ones are...

= proof they can see the light, but wish to reject it...and run from truths...

Most use insults to make them selves feel happy, when these situations arrive...If they were even close to right, or free thinking, they would take this as a time of great optimism, but they do not! Nor do they care to explain to theists what to buy into as an atheistic society...

So even if God is not real, I ask you how long go you, or they or anyone think atheism will truly be around till one feels the need to update it??

Keep in mind that Christianity's principals have been the same for over 2000 years too!! And they claim to be free thinkers...and able to do things on their own, and by themselves??

Where are you now Krumple??? Are you going to wait until I am gone, and post to insult me again??

What an idiot . . . atheism is not a belief, it is the absence of or the rejection of a belief. There is nothing to "update." You truly are clueless.

Really? Over 2000 years? Since Jesus if he really existed was 10 years old? Or even brfore he was born?

Of course Christianity has been updated thousands of times, and modified over and over again. It's nothing like the millenial religion of the underclasses in the first century. It's been a warrior religion, it's justified genocides and opposed them, it's been a religion of ascetics and bourgeois and repressive autocracies, it's justified slavery and opposed it. It's been a religion of tolerance and rigid exclusion and repression. It's been pretty much anything anybody want it to be to justify their own desires or to oppose someone else's desires. and it's "principles''. not 'principals'.

Mr Apisa claims that atheism is a belief. Hardly a ground-breaking insight seeing that atheism is obviously a belief.

On all known form SM there's no chance. I have been trying to get them to answer the point for about 8 years on the evolution threads. Startled rabbit is the certain response.

Great points! If it actually had any solid ground with what I had originally said...

Christianity's main points are...

Love thy neighbor as thyself, Love God above all things...

Or an even simpler way of summing it up...

Believe In your heart that Jesus is Lord, Confess with your mouth, and believe that Jesus was raised from the dead...

Yes, the mere basic "principles'' are the same!!
