Reporters for the NY Times today published what can only be termed incontrovertible proof of widespread abuse of Smurfs held as prisoners of war.

According to eyewitness accounts, the NY Times reports that Smurf prisoners have routinely been gagged, beaten and dipped in molten brass. Here, Agnetha Columbard, the wife of an American colonel is shown proudly holding a "souvenir" of her husband's work. Col. Columbard is now being held pending trial by military tribunal.
