I think I would have made the dress into a tablecloth. Maybe put it under the wedding cake or somewhere that it wouldn't be missed.
That is if I were a vindictive mother of the bride type.
Or one who might advise vindictive mother of the bride types.
encase it in glass and hang it from the wall with some embarassing slogan and suggestive stain..
