I was in a 1991 Nissan Sentra (4 doors).

Despite it's age, it was in great shape and I kept in well-maintained. I kept every repair order since Day 1.

i've realized one more advantage to internet chess: you never get the same game twice. in internet debate, on the other hand, an awful lot of beating dead horses goes on. (in chess, we throw away dead horses. ;-))

Well, I'm glad you're enjoying it. Stan is a good bloke, too. I've had quite a close personal relationship with him for quite a few years now. In the past, I've been a very active volunteer. Now, I'm running the New Player Help Center.

Yes, I remember that little exchange with Mr. Set. Each to their own on that subject.

I definitely weed out the players that have been overly slow. I make note on them in the Game Notes section. I've suggested to Stan a column in the Games History would be very useful to put a tick besides a name whether you wanted to replay them in the future.

nope, but i've tried twice to install winboard, and it fails. Sad

and i haven't found my chess set yet, so i can't play your endgame. even if i could play it, i might be reluctant to post anything, in case i'm wrong, and a better player shows up to correct me.

I suppose it was a crappy idea. I have to admit I've had similar experiences with other stuff I've tried in the past, like game analysis which fell flat on it's face.

Oh, well. Back to Oddities, I guess. It's what I do best. Sad

you're the grandmaster of oddities! but don't give up on the endgames so quick...stan's MB isn't like a2k, there aren't thousands looking at the posts, more like a handful, so might take a bit longer to get a response.

you might want to take a glance at some of my active games--not that many with me, as you know. couple of them are *quite* interesting. without naming names, i have a mate in 2 in one of em, i believe. Cool

well, you missed the mate, he just resigned. but it was a nice mate, my game against Tork, because it starts with me moving the king, then my knight makes the next 2 moves, before the queen can mate, so really it was a mate in 4 to start with. Cool
