Looks like Indian summer in Chicago today.

It's obnoxious. It's going to go from 70 to 19 degrees--no fall.

Sublime says the 10th is the best for him. I've sent him the location and suggested 11:45.

I should have been at the lunch. However, I stayed inside my cubicle at work because I had a bad cold.

JPB, Joefromchicago, Sublime, and Gargamel all met for lunch yesterday at Goodwin's. Maybe JPB will give you a report on the meeting.

Sorry to hear the reason why you couldn't join, wandel! Hope, it's better now (otherwise, perhaps you better stay at home!)!

11:45 didn't beat the rush. We snagged one of the last tables and enjoyed good food and conversation. It was disappointing that jw wasn't able to join us, but it was good to see the rest of the gang and catch up on stories of doings and goings-on.

It was especially good to see Sublime since we don't get to see much of him around here these days. He seems to be staying out of trouble and may one day get his computer fixed and be able to stop by during his rare free time. He's still doing a lot of back and forth between IL and MI and work is keeping him busy.

Mostly we just yabbered and spent a nice long lunch hour (or 2) together -- 'twas fun.

Hmm, sublime obviously missed this year's Munich Octoberfest again, too.

I saw someone wearing a jacket that said "Chicago Cubs '07 World Series Champions".

(Cubs won the world series in 1907.)
