Was there anything fixed/planned for Friday night?
I only just found out that I perhaps could indulge my obscure musical taste at FitzGerald's in Berwyn ...
Salty Dogs
eoe, This will be my first time at the Belden Stratford, but it looks like a classy place with the ambiance of much earlier times. Looking forward to it, and I'll be in walking distance to Lincoln Park with all their offerings.
Another good thing is the accessability to public transportation.
Are you sure it's Friday, Walter?
Fitzgerald's calendar has them listed for Thursday, May 31st.

Bus stop right on the corner. The lake right across the street. It's a great location.
And
metromix is now listing Lurrie Bell for Bill's Blues on Friday.
Yes, Thursday ("no, no" for me)
Lurrie Bell / Bill's Blues on Friday then
I wanna see/hear Lurrie Bell. What's the best way to get there from N Lincoln Park West? It's about 10 miles as the crow flies from Mapquest.
He's on at 8:30pm on June 1.
CI, if you come here Friday afternoon I'll take you to the Botanic Gardens and then to Evanston where we'll meet joe for dinner before walking over to Bill's Blues for his show.
JBP, That's sounds like the perfect plan. Thank you! T.

Are there any reservations to be done?
c.i., at what time (~9am ?) shall we meet wandel? (I'll be on the boat trip afterwards, then catch the train.)

Not unless we eat somewhere fancy. Unless it's graduation weekend (I'll check) we shouldn't have a problem getting in anywhere.
Walter, 9am sounds okay to me; and I'll also join you for that boat and train ride.

Okay - weather seems to be not to bad, too:
Even better than the above Chicago Times' forcast this one:
I'm excited, too. I can't wait to meet all of you fine folks. Walter, you're going to become a instant Cubs fan. I just know it.
I'm bringing my travel raincoat, sweatshirt, and baseball caps - just to be prepared.
bookmarking this thread.....I live in the boring Chicago suburb of Round Lake so I should have no problem meeting up with you guys.
We just expect you to run us around in your porsche. he he he...
Walter and c.i.,
The Michigan Avenue Au Bon Pain at 9 a.m.? (or did you two want to meet somewhere else?)
