hello, maporsche! It nice to know you're local. I'm in Lake County too but most of our gatherings are downtown. Looking forward to meeting you sometime soon.

Walter, I was just thinking the same thing....

Tuesday - CI arrives midday, nothing planned yet

Wednesday - CI, JW, JPB, joe meet for lunch - time and place TBD (soon)
CI, JPB 'tour' in the afternoon (CI, I have a membership to LUMA, and/or we could check out the exhibit at MCA, or if it's too nice out to be inside we could venture over towards the lake front.

Thursday - Walter arrrives midday. CI, Walter, joe, (JPB?) meet for dinner - time and place TBD

Friday - Walter, CI, JW at Au Bon Pain 9:00 AM
Walter, CI lakefront tour from Navy Pier then metra to Lake Cook Rd
Walter, CI, JPB tour Chicago Botanical Gardens, North Shore, return to Evanston
Walter, CI, JPB, joe meet for dinner (time and place TBD) and then Bill's Blues for Lurrie Bell

Saturday - Swimpy, Gargamel, Walter, CI, joe, JPB meet for brunch at Clarke's at 10:00.
Swimpy, Walter, CI, joe watch the Cubs lose
Swimpy departs, Walter and CI attempt to console joe.

Sunday - joe, CI, Walter, (JPB?) tour Chicago Historical Society/Musuem, or other mutually agreeable outing.

Monday - Walter departs

Tuesday - CI, joe, JPB, Mr B, (sublime?) Second City - "Between Barack and a Hard Place" 7:30 (showtime = 8:00)

Wednesday - CI departs

This is what I know of. Other details/gatherings may have been discussed via PM.

Gargamel, jp, maporsche -- add yourselves to anything that fits your schedule/interest

I'd join y'all at Mambo on Wednesday but I'm afraid that's too much of a hike, considering the MAN only let's me off my chain for an hour tops.

Looks good though. I'll see everybody at Clarke's.

G-- we aren't committed to Mambo Grill. Is there something closer to you that works better? We've done South Water Kitchen a number of times so I threw another name out. Other suggestions are fine.

He's the best. Just ignore who his infamous brother is. Anyway, nobody can hold a weatherman to a 7-day forecast in the Midwest.

Gargamel's coming! Yay!

Well, regardless of place, it's awkward having a time limit to make and receive first impressions, to me. So it's just as well.

And Mambo grill looks really good. Have a mojito for me.

You still have much to learn about baseball.
