Laughing Laughing Laughing I suppose I shouldn't laugh, because South Florida is just as flat.

but with temps in the low 30s today and wind chills even lower, it's not a job I would want.

For those in the loop -- do these guys work throughout the winter? Nuh uh, no thanks.
I know what you mean about the cold though... why, before the sun came out the thermometer here plummeted all the way down to 58. Shocked I damn near had to put on a shirt to smoke a cigarette.

Around eleven a.m. here I decided to run out to the drug store... damn, it was snowing! Here I thought it was already shorts wearing season; supposed to be in the seventies in a day or two..

If it makes you feel any better; today I don't think it got higher than 75 at the beach. A guy had to go in the water to warm up a little.

Send some warm thoughts my way Monday when I am freezing my ass off at the Cubbies home opener in the bleachers. If you happen to catch the game I have made it to the front row the past three years.

Hopefully about 4 more months... providing I don't like Panama better (visiting there next month).

I have two tickets to Saturday's (4-14) Cubs game that I don't think I'll be able to use. If anyone wants to purchase them on very reasonable terms (i.e. face value), PM me.

joe, I hope you got my message that I wanted one of those tickets to the cub´s game. I´m now in Barcelona, but will be home on April 11. You can PM me, but I can´t send any PMs. Better than total banishment. LOL

C.I.,

Haven't they restored your ability to send PM's by now? I am very surprised that it is still being suspended for you.

Yes, you've got a seat reserved. It will be me, you, Walter, and Swimpy (thanks JPB for doing my legwork for me). I'm glad to be able to share these tickets with some out-of-towners who would otherwise never have a chance to see a game at Wrigley Field. It ought to be a lot of fun. And Walter will be available to explain the rules of baseball for those who are not quite au courant.

I know by now that it is a bat-and-ball game.

I'm just in the middle of reading up all about "bat" ...

Okay, Walter, it´s been many decades since I´ve been to a baseball game, so you´re now on the hot seat. I´ll expect name of players, poistions, and all the relevant stats. he he he...
