September 14 is clear for me. I'd actually prefer bleacher seats (I haven't sat in the bleachers since forever), but that would mean showing up at least an hour before the first pitch. Terrace reserved is fine with me, although there's always the risk of getting obscured view seats. Needless to add, we should be getting the tickets sooner rather than later.

So, little moron man, why not go to a White Sox game? Are you afraid of seeing a real baseball team?

Dude, I don't care about either team, I'm a Brewers fan. It's just, people asking stupid questions gets on my nerves.

Maybe we should vote in order to get seats together, especially if we need to reserve.

I would prefer terrace.

(I am not absolutely sure if I can make it. However, I am willing to pay for a reserved ticket now. If I can not go, someone can use my ticket for a guest.)

I'd prefer bleachers, but I won't pout one way or the other.

Gargarmel, I know you're doubtful on being able to join us on this. We'll probably move forward with tickets in the next day or so. Would you like to take a pass at this point but have first refusal on JW's seat if he ends up not making it? Also, if we end up in the bleachers (which apparently are open seating) we can always add one as long as they're available.

That's a good idea. Let me know what the situation is, maybe the week of?

Re: Cubs tickets handoff and lunch on Friday.

I've made a reservation in my name for noon. I'll be leaving for the train station by 10:00, so let me know before then if we need to move it out. They had openings at 12:30 and 1:00 as well, but I took the earlier one. My train gets to Union Station around 11:30 and I'll head straight over to the restaurant.

I thought you were in MI?????

I'm bringing your ticket to you on Thursday before the game, unless you want to join us for lunch today. 12:00, Mambo Grill! Shall I change the reservation to four people?

Gargamel, you're welcome to join us too if you're available. Just let me know before I leave at 10:00 and I'll make whatever changes are necessary to the reservation.

Thanks, JPB! I was just wondering if rain would cause problems with Thursday's Cubs game.

(Dyslexia: sorry to hear about albuquerque. in chicago we worry about weather affecting sports rather than plants.)

The A2K gathering at the Chicago Cubs game was a success. Even the Cubs cooperated by actually winning. The event was organized by JPB (as usual). JPB and Sublime praised each other for the work the two of them did in May for the large A2K gathering. (Joefromchicago and I sat there puzzled that we didn't get some credit.)

I am joking about that last part!!! Smile Smile Smile

After the game we went to Yakzies and had some food and brew and wondered why JW and Gargamel were not there. Then we made our way back to my condo and had a glass of Blue and JPB and Joe made off with half my DVD collection to expand their knowledge of 21st century movies.

This is me before the game.

Fine figure of a guy, there, Sublime. I remember the Blue...

I was a good girl and drank bubbly water until I poured that glass of Blue on ice, back in May. Luckily I could catch a taxi.

(Kidding, mostly a glass of booze, the one ounce kind, equals a glass of wine or one of beer, if I remember right. Of course, I can't remember any more.)

How'd the game turn out?

The Cubbies won and there was great conversation throughout, unfortunately JPB was driving so she was limited to one glass of Blue.

<smooches to Sublime> K noticed "jackass" immediately and said, "I can't believe you're going to watch that!" Mr B saw "A Clockwork Orange" and said, "I can't believe your going to watch that!" I've told them both that I will watch both movies <even if I'm averting my eyes through most of the ugly scenes.>

A wonderful day! Beautiful weather, the Cubbies won, we were surrounded by fun bleacher bums, good food and beverage at Yakzies, what can anyone say about JW Blue? <thanks, Sublime>, but mostly it's about the people.....

JW, Sublime1, joe ~~ it's an honor and a joy!

To be honest. I'm not all jealous of not having been there: American football (or whatever funny other sports) AND those dvd's - na, nothing for me.

It's really a nice place, Chicago, and very nice A2K'ers there.

Did I ever tell that?
