On the urn and mugs, my friend should know, it's my memory that might have been off - she could have just bought them in a swedish shop and I'd mixed it up. So thanks for the confirmation, ehBeth..

Angelique, this is one of my favorite threads ever, a real treasure..

I've scanned a couple of photos this afternoon.

May I have some coffee now, please?

I wonder whether Cafe du Monde in New Orleans survived Katrina.
Oh, for a New Orleans style cafe au lait (brewed with chicory)
and a beignet (a kind of square doughnut covered in powdered sugar)!

You know George yesterday I was looking at some very beautiful pictures of outdoor cafes in New Orleans, and I wondered the same thing. I wish I had saved the links.

There's a large outdoor section under a signature striped awning.

That's just how we decorate the table for normal guests - we are awaiting your special orders - for music to be played as well (you can choose out of 200 New Orleans/Dixie style cd's [in the cabinets in the back] plus the same number in oldies and varia  ).

My daughter had a great job as a high schooler:
she was a "barista" at the cafe of the Barnes & Noble bookstore in Saugus.
