Chipmunk-fil-A
No, we don't have those cute little rodents on the menu. We have the waitresses dress up in chipmunk costumes. We wanted beaver costumes, but they protested too much.

State Far of Texas in Dallas
Going on right now, and Oct. 29 is the last day.
If you're in the city, take a bus ($6 a day) because parking is $30. And go on Thursday if you're old because the entrance fee then is only $7. Otherwise, it could cost you ten times that amount.
And, whatever you do, don't be hungry because the food prices are oversized like the fair itself. Everybody likes to walk around eating a turkey leg, but $25-27? I'll pass. You might settle for a corny dog, a hot dog on a stick coated with batter and deep fried for $8-12. The mustard is free. Every year there are a couple dozen special new foods they offer, fruity pebble pickles and fried butter, for example. Don't ask me what that is. They go for $10.
There are a lot of free things to do, too like animal exhibits and art & craft stuff. I'm not sure what else because I haven't been there in over 20 years, and it might be another 20 years before I attend again. Probably not because I'm 82.
Jamba Juice
I don't know what a jamba is, but it must be good because there are over 700 locations.

Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza
You may fire that oven when you are ready, Gridley. Full speed ahead.
Pizzas cook in a hot, coal-fired oven in as little as 60 seconds. The crust will be partly charred, and the flavor is said to be be enhanced by the coal.
