Time to unlearn your vocabulary

Words are my playthings. You may have a similar inclination. Why, for example, is a sheep not just a female heep? Really!?. Why is a person coughing not a coffer or a coffee? And why the heck do they carry you off in a coffin?

On a serious note, why is defenestration not a proper way of honoring the clergy? Sure enough, a Google search brought me to the noteworthy actions of the citizens of Prague. Try not to see the laughter in slaughter, and understand the thesis leading to DefenestratedDictionary.com.

Humble, next to the work of Ambrose Bierce, originator of The Devil’s Dictionary, and less well known than others, my dictionary now has hundreds of entries and is in want of demeaningful fodder.

I ask my fellow a2kers to submit their personal dementia for inclusion here and on my website for fame and history. You will be appropriately noted. A read of the website shows the bar set relatively low. Please, though, avoid excretives.

NOTE: There are many similar dictionaries in print. No less than 2 knock-offs of the Devil’s Dictionary, The Uxbridge English Dictionary, Wiley's dictionary, and The Roycroft Dictionary, to name a few.
