I can understand and accept why people do not believe in any kind of deity and why they might get out of patience with someone trying to convert them. What I don't understand is antagonism towards people of faith for nothing other than having faith. Referring most specifically to the recent posts of these last two pages.

Neo, your assertion does not make it so. Revelation plainly shows Jesus is Morningstar and thus Helel also Azaliel a demon.
Who tempted Jesus? Did he tempt himself?

And for trinitarians:

Who resurrected Jesus?

Clever word games may obfuscate Jesus' identity to the credulous; but obfuscation is proof only of intent to deceive.

Look at the standard of so many of the deranged half-wits that believe in it's tripe. It's no wonder it gets misinterpreted.
Three more incisive posts from down under. No four - Wait, five. The glib that keeps on glibbing.

neo, If they are so "glib," it would seem a simple retort or challenge would be better than your non-sequitur.

Seems like in every debate or discussion with a Christian...at some point, the Christian will assert that something from the Bible is being misinterpreted...or misused in some way.
What is it with that?

Let me ask you this. What's the difference between the bible being misinterpreted and anything else that's written? Just because one person believes it means a certain thing doesn't mean everyone else is obligated to believe that. Right? There are many different solutions to every problem. If there were just one solution, life would be easy for everyone. What works for me, might not work for you, or anyone else. The bible does get misinterpreted quite often. People take one scripture and base a whole belief system on that, rather than showing the whole thing in context because they haven't actually researched what they are talking about. That can and does happen with anything though. If there's three people at the site of a car accident who all watched it happen, do you really think they are all going to tell the exact same story word for word to the cops? No. Because they are different people with different perceptions. They saw the accident from different angles. So one might have seen more than another. And so on. That is the story of life.

Essentially, you Christians are saying that there is a GOD that made everything...

...a personal GOD that wants us to know what IT is like...what pleases IT...what offends IT....what it expects of humans.

This GOD...made planet Earth; the other planets; the sun; the other 200+ billions of suns that make up our galaxy; and the hundreds of billions of other galaxies that we know exist. It placed them in space so vast that two galaxies can pass through each other without any of their stars crashing into each other.

Yup.

Are you telling me that this GOD cannot manage to get ITS story out in a coherent, dependable form...so that each of us KNOWS what IT is like....what pleases IT...what offends IT....and what IT expects of us?

What on Earth are you folks thinking of?

He has. The bible is very clear. It is people who complicate it. Twist it. Make it harder to understand than necessary. Some do it without realizing that is what they are doing. Some do it intentionally to make others feel bad about themselves in order to feel better about themselves. Like they are smarter or more knowledgable. It doesn't matter what anyone else believes though. Really. Faith is a personal thing between each person and God. Understanding the bible is a personal thing between each person and God. If you really know what you believe then what you believe can't be shaken. That's my theory anyway.

Yeah, they were hatched in the brain some four thousand years ago, and it grew exponentially to what we have today; a monster.
