Hi all,

I'm going with those who have voted for Alton Brown and Nigella, I reall like them both. I prefer a "Nuts and bolts" approach to instruction, and like the background information they both offer. Tyler is fun, and a really nice guy too.

Just don't make me watch Bobby Flay, he could send me into homicidal fits. Laughing

I also think Jacques Torres is fun to watch, but what is he thinking?
"Ok, after you've finished constructing your replica of the 1927 world's fair from dark and white chocolate,..suspend the pulled sugar dirigible from..." Laughing
A bit intimidating for most home cooks I think. Laughing

I think Jaques Torres can be interesting to watch, but I have no interest in replicating what he does.

It amazes me that the Food Network is able to fit both Bobby Flay and his ego on the screen at the same time......must be a wide angle lens on the camera.

A few years ago, during the peak food/wine expo season here in Boston (the beginning of February), I had to help host Mr. Flay here, I brought him around to events at the AIWF, and various appearances.
Arrogant is the word that comes to mind,..just an ass! Laughing

Madeleine Kamman, Lidia Bastianich, Jacques Pepin and Alton Brown, Sara Moulton and the Two Hot Tamale ladies Susan Feniger and Mary Sue Miliken are top notch.

I'm sure this issue have been raised earlier in this thread, but...

What's up with Emeril? Or, more to the point, what drug do they give the studio audience on his show? Such enthusiasm! "Now, let's kick it up a notch--I'm gonna add some garlic!" WILD APPLAUSE!

I don't get it...
