@Real Music,
A 2023-2024 version of Rock the Vote? A Tik Tok challenge?
This is such a good question. And worthwhile.
I worked for several years as a mental health therapist, and most of my clientele was "at-risk" young adults. One of my jobs used to involve trying to motivate young people to live their lives less self-destructively. It was a constant struggle to find their currency - to find how to communicate to them that doing certain things and not doing other things was for their own good.
If we could find a way to motivate young adults to vote, it would be a great boon to society, to say the least.
Hold up a photo of Donald Trump is enough to incentivize them. The result of not voting is that you end up getting a leader who is the village idiot.
“This is your brain on drugs!”
A 2023-2024 version of Rock the Vote? A Tik Tok challenge?
1. Something like that could actually work.
2. I would also try to understand what issues or policies are most important to young people.
3. I would also recruit young people who are part of that generation to help motivate and energize younger voters to vote.

March For Our Lives Co-Founder David Hogg on gun control.
March For Our Lives Co-Founder and school shooting survivor David Hogg reflects on pushing for bi-partisan policy in the five years following the shooting at his alma mater high school. “I can respect people who don’t agree with me but I can’t accept that there’s nothing that we can do to make progress to save our children and end gun violence in this country.”

Inside the push to recruit more young people to Congress.
It’s undeniable that young Americans can change elections and impact American politics. Researchers at Tufts University credited an increase in voter turnout for making key differences in major battleground states during the 2020 presidential election. They did it again in the 2022 midterms, with the second-highest voter turnout in nearly 30 years. But what’s still missing is making sure they have a seat at the table. March For Our Lives founder David Hogg talks with American Voice host Alicia Menendez about what it will take to bring more young people into the political arena.

Taylor Swift can beat Trump again in 2024, so Fox pundits panic.
From football to feminism, Taylor Swift continues to build on her reach. Swift’s “Eras” tour is projected to generate a $5 billion impact on the economy. Swift also backed Biden in 2020 and encouraged fans to register to vote. Facing that influence, some GOP pundits are trying to knock Swift and the excitement over her NFL appearance.

@thack45,
I worked for one of the Intel Agencies for 32 years. I've studied languages, culture, I've served overseas (non-combat)........My Agency was on a Military Base and every time Trump came out and molested the flag I would get furious. Such outrageous disrespect, it's shameful......but the idiots love it because those folks think they love America more than everybody else. Good luck folks if you get your Trump/Putin leader, say goodby to health care, unemployment, disability funding, education and every other thing the Blue States deliver to your unemployed and uneducated citizens. Hope you enjoy poverty as much as we will.

Taylor Swift does what Republicans have been dreading
I spent 32 years working for the Dept of Defense, National Security Agency.....We had a formal flag opening every morning and another right at 5PM. We worked with high ranking military people, high level professional permeant employees........AND I HAVE NEVER SEEN A GENERAL OR ADMIRAL, OR ANYONE OF OUR SENIOR EXECUTIVES HUG AND DISRESPECT OUR FLAG.
