Black 3s after turn card

I have one card in my hand - a wild card. I pick a black 3 after the turn card. I do not want to go out because I know my partner has too many 7s in her hand. Can I discard the black 3 or do I have to put it down with my other 3s and then Discard my wild Card, going out when I don’t want to.
