I live in and am a shareholder in a residential co-op apartment.

Does the co-op corporation have an obligation to its shareholders to keep information about each of us (e.g., any disputes a shareholder has with the co-op corporation) confidential?

I can see that it is a good idea to keep it confidential but I am not sure if it constitutes a legal obligation.

@gollum,
You would have to look at the incorporation documents. It is possible that there is a legal obligation to present information that could have a material impact on the corporation to the public or at least the other stockholders.
