I'm actively looking into apartments and found that a couple of them comes with home automation. Is it better to go with them or should I buy an apartment and then hire someone to install an automation system?

@bhanupriyababu,
Ok, well, i would expect there will be a long list of more important variables that you will be considering when choosing an apartment to buy.

All those more important variables being equal, i would prefer the apartment with the automation system already installed, but only in my country - Australia. Because tradesman here are INSANELY expensive. Any other country, i would prefer to go the other way.

Considering all the stories about inexperienced people easily hacking into home automation systems, I would not use one at all. A home does not do anything that needs to be automated. Even a thermostat causes a lot of annoyance to a lot of people.
