Releasing the Jan 6 rioters is a bitter pill. Let's hope that most of them have learned a lesson. If Trump hadn't been elected they would still be serving time.

I believe Trump may be trying to set up Gaza for a sucker punch after the Palestinians start getting "relaxed."

The Roost's position on immigration has always been, leave the border open and police it for criminal activity, same as any other place in this country. Populations move historically and the real law-breaking is denial of this right. We created the conditions that sent them here for the most. Wait until Trump gets through ******* up Venezuela and Panama. There will be many more trying.

Yep. I find it curious that Franklin Roosevelt died when he was cooking a plan for the US to have health care. If you dig deep enough you learn there were some who believed he was poisoned. There was no autopsy, according to a page I read several years ago. Conspiracy theory to be dismissed? Possibly.

The NHS was created by the post war Labour government during times of severe austerity.

We have had a hardcore of right-wing zealots who make Ayn Rand look like Mother Theresa all the way back to the colonies. Too often they take the public discourse to a frightening level. So many of these types have huge fortunes and influence. In these modern times their ability to control is to a frightening degree. They are so vengeance driven, so greedy, that many moderates simply give in.

There is such a flurry of **** by and about Trump's actions it's hard to know which ones are real and also hard to know how much of his agenda really will pass.I just saw one post on X claiming they are trying to pass a bill allowing Trump to run for a third term. I sincerely hope he ---- before it is possible.

I am not born in the US either. I am German by birthright and I am American by choice. By the way, immigration officers came early this morning to a convenience store in Riverside County. This store was frequented by farm workers for breakfast before heading out to the fields. The workers were all ambushed and taken away in 2 large vans. 🙁

I just saw a headline claiming Trump wants to abolish the income tax. Where does he think the government will get money? Just print it? (ha ha)

On Wednesday this week, DOD suspended all the people assigned to EEO offices at my former place of employment. The people in EEO didn't graduate from colleges that concentrated on Equal employment, most almost all the employees are assigned temporarily for diversity experience. They could be Russian or Chinese linguists, but they are all sent home on paid leave and will probably be fired. Thank God the country doesn't have to worry about China or Russia anymore. Oh, one other thing, we no longer have an IG (the people who prevent thefts, illegal spying, and many more important things.

Americans won't care because they don't have a clue how well trained and deeply committed these people are because they prefer to think of them as Federal Workers who are overpaid and just sucking on the governments tax
payers.

Another interesting happening today is that ICE officials have been all over the county I live in, arresting workers at restaurants and have staked out positions of local high schools. Next week will probably be fascinating.
