As part of the Trump administration’s “drug boat” operations around Venezuela, the USS Fort Lauderdale had been deployed to the Caribbean region. The ship lacked dedicated mental health professionals and relied on one doctor and Navy corpsmen for all its medical needs.
“I lost my world,” Jaimie’s sister said. “I lost everything, and all I care about now is getting some semblance of justice.”

FDR's “Second Bill of Rights,” was introduced on January 11, 1944, during his State of the Union address.
With WW2 still underway, Roosevelt was already outlining what he believed postwar America should look like. Drawing on the experience of the Great Depression, he argued that traditional political liberties were insufficient without a basic level of economic security.
FDR actually described eight rights, although the graphic combines several of them into six categories. They included a useful job, adequate income, decent livelihoods for farmers, protection of businesses from monopolistic domination and unfair competition, a decent home, medical care, economic protection during old age, sickness, accidents and unemployment, and a good education.
The Second Bill of Rights was never enacted as a single law or incorporated into the Constitution. Roosevelt instead asked Congress to develop legislation implementing these goals. Some related policies subsequently became law—for example, Roosevelt signed the GI Bill in June 1944, providing veterans with education benefits, federally backed home loans and unemployment assistance.
Roosevelt passed away in April 1945, before the postwar political debate over his broader economic-rights agenda fully unfolded

How do you deal with it?
You could say a curse on both your houses and vote for a third party which will have very limited success in a country dominated by two main parties.
Or you could try to change the Democrat Party from within by voting for more progressive candidates.
Just out of interest if Zohran Mamdani was running in your district on the Democrat ticket would you vote for him, or is the Democrat Party too toxic for you?

There are Democrats I would and will vote for. Locally, I want Abbott, Patrick and Paxton to lose badly enough to vote for almost anybody. Nationally, I draw the line at support of genocide. There are some national Democrats I could be tempted to vote for. Mamdani is a great choice. Too bad he can't run for pres.

The fight within the Democratic Party will determine if we continue to share the right with the GOP or if we break free from the like of Pelosi and Schumer and return to the ideals of FDR's New Deal. If we leftists are defeated where it counts, there is not much point in defeating Trump and Vance, because no significant progress will be made to change their lunatic policies.

Drawing on a guide by novelist Ayn Rand, which warned that negative portrayals of businessmen were a hallmark of communist propaganda, two informants objected to the film's villain, banker Henry Potter. They called the casting of Lionel Barrymore as a "scrooge-type" "a rather obvious attempt to discredit bankers," and said the film "deliberately maligned the upper class." One informant suggested rewriting Potter as someone responsibly safeguarding other people's money.
The House Un-American Activities Committee ultimately took no action against the film's cast or crew. It's a Wonderful Life went on to become one of America's most beloved Christmas movies.
