Good grief. I just realized who Bob Saget was. His sister died of Scleroderma and my friend from Virginia has a mild case himself.

I guess the nicest and funniest celeb that I ever met was Don Galloway. When I was a kid, I met lloyd Bridges. Forgot about him. Odd, I just noticed that Dave Brubeck is still performing in my area. Met him as well.

would that be "sweetness?"
was he good at hoops?

i had a 2 minute chat with phoebe cates in '87.

went to grade school (bank street, for those in NYC) with the children of rip torn/geraldine paige, tony lobianco and patrick o'neal.

rip torn once took a dump in our bathroom Rolling Eyes

o'neal's son's name is maximillian wisdom o'neal -- what a little brat he was at age 7.

also attending that school was ally sheedy, who was a year ahead of me...

Well I met the American Ambassador to Romania at the Embassy many years back. But I can't remember his name. I remember he looked the part of a weathered and seasoned diplomat He was very no-nonsense, got down to business and was exceptionally sharp. He was a career diplomat and years ago his father was the American Ambassador to the USSR, a post we heard he was also interested in. This wasn't the ambassador who would get drunk with the Marine guards and tear around Bucharest like a wild man, this was the one serving in 1988

lol. No, that'd be Barry, who's dad thinks Jim Brown was the Greatest running back ever.

Barry stands about 5' 6" but could easily dunk the ball due to his incredible vertical leap. He was a pretty good b-ball player, but obviously a better footballer.

I knew it wasn't really a virgin birth as the bible insists.

Yep! Too many to list here. Happened because of my vocation and avocations.

They all look the same as us sitting on the pot in the morning.

Met Jesse Jackson, famed civil rights attorney Flo Kennedy and almost met Tex Senator John Tower (Very deliberately turned my back on John and he made himself scarce).

I shared an elevator with BB King. He and I were travelling down to the lobby of our hotel and only when the doors opened and his entourage grouped around him did I have a clue with whom I had just shared a solo trip down elevator lane.

Members of REM, Widespread Panic, Dinosaur Jr, Sebado. I think there are others, but I can't recall who right now. Damn that alcohol.

so many back-stage passes, so little time... how about semi-starz?

define semi-rockstar.....

Actually, not all were from back stage passes. I met the guys in REM in bars around Athens and have never been to one of their shows. The only reason I have been to a WSP show is because I'm friends with the bassist.

Growing up, my mother would occasionally say, "Hey, I went to school with that guy!" while we were watching tv.

One of the guys i went to high school with became a regionally famous disc jockey. That did not matter to me, i still would not have associated with him.
