My youngest daughter and I watched this movie together so often that she began quoting it line by line just a few seconds before it was said on film.

@edgarblythe,
We are in the very depths of Zeuses hell. Wasn't this the dude who was caught masterbating inside of a movie theatre? Paul Reubens? I wonder if he delivered any lines when he was doing that. After watching how Eric Stoltz got fired from back to the future, It is hard to know if the actor can differentiate when they are acting or not, or if it is real life versus being in the movie.

Or perhaps we are all just pervs for watching them. Like Ralph Peters says, Gosh that is who we are. Seems like some of these "big" eighties actors could have done a better job in real life and in the movies of getting us ready for the times we live in today, with all of the surveillance cameras and data eavesdropping and this super creep culture.
To me at least. Masterbating. Hmm..Ok. He was probably a good mentor for Jeffrey Toobin.

As St Paul Boldly proclaims, he'll boast about his thorn, for this thorn is the conduit, the massive pipeline, through which God's amazing grace flows directly to the need.

Hopefully Paul Reubens is in the third heaven right now.

@From Opium,
Firstly, we would have to learn to separate the art from the artist to have much art at all. Secondly, a mistake does not necessarily frame who one is. Sex sells products to a willing public, but an individual caught in the act can pay dearly. Many people masturbate often, some, multiple times daily. We know but are silent about it. Not good form to be caught in public. But why are sex acts considered vile at all, unless they are forced on the unwilling?

@edgarblythe,
Not sure man. Just offering another viewpoint. I just saw C Thomas Howell a couple of days ago, and barely anyone knew who he was. He was in the movie the outsiders. He spent like half the night at this theatre talking about Patrick Swayze (who director Kevin Smith humorously refers to as The Swayze Dog.)

But yeah Patrick Swayze is dead too. A lot of these actors it seems lately. I am not sure why C Thomas Howell was so into telling us about Patrick Swayze. I tend to think of the Hollywood industry as really parasitical. But I think that you have to have humor too, when talking about actors (even the ones that you fondly remember.) You know, like Swayze dog.

Ok, so not to get off topic, Pee Wee Herman aka Paul Reubens (or visa versa, however you want to do that) was in Pee Wee's Big Adventure. And I loved that movie. Paul Reubens was excellent in it, but I thought it was more phenomenal as as Tim Burton film. I can't quote lines from it, but I swear I worked with a guy at a construction site who wouldn't shut up with singing Jimmy Crack Corn. I was like why do you keep singing that. He was like, Oh Come on, Pee's Big Adventure. Come on, you don't remember that train scene and the guy..yadda.

@From Opium,
It's just a simple feel good movie for most of us. "I know you are but what am I?" will resound in my memory the rest of my life.

Why, are movies the only scenario for actors?

I guess it is ridiculous to argue. I like Pee Wee Herman. I like Val Kilmer too. If twenty years from now I don't know or care about which one was famous for saying "I know you are but what I am," I don't believe that I should get stoned to death. By the zealots.
You guys read the book SoulStealers: The Chinese Sorcery Scare of 1768. That is what this Paul Reuben discussion is reminding me of. I personally believe in keeping my soul.
