Poll: How do you feel about Dustin Diamond's recent passing?

Hi. I learned of Dustin Diamond's passing. Dustin Diamond was a child star, he played Screech in the '80s and '90s kids' show Saved By The Bell. I hope the man was Saved, meaning I hope he was a born-again Christian (I am not making any kind of pun here). I know he passed of lung cancer. I am happy to know his death WAS NOT COVID-19-RELATED.

What about you? Please help. Thank you.

@JGoldman10,
I feel sad at the passing of pretty much everyone, but of course I did not personally know him. I did enjoy the character he played.

He was Jewish.

@JGoldman10,
I'm sorry he died, but to be honest I've never heard of him or the show.

@cherrie,
Okay. If I may ask what country are you from?

I don't know too much about Dustin Diamond's career, outside of Saved By The Bell . I remember back in the late '90s he was a celebrity guest on a drawing charades game show. It was either Pictionary or Win, Lose or Draw.

@cherrie,
Okay. I don't know too much about TV in Australia. Someone I know from your country told me American programming gets imported over there on TV and there's no censorship. He told me he watches American cartoons on Saturday mornings.

I assume the original Saved By The Bell series was shown on Australian TV presumably on Saturday mornings based on some research I did.

According to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saved_by_the_Bell#Home_media :

"In Region 4, Shock Entertainment released Season One on DVD in Australia on February 10, 2010."

There's a series reboot being planned for viewing in Australia:

@JGoldman10,
I don't watch tv on Saturday mornings so I have no idea if it was on or not.

I still haven't heard of it before.

@cherrie,
Okay. You never watched Saturday morning cartoons and other Saturday morning kids' programming as a kid?

@JGoldman10,
We never had Saturday Morning telly for children when I was a kid, not until my teens when Swapshop came along. I imagine Australia wasn’t much different.

You always assume that other countries do the same thing as Americans, they don't.
